o&j cam lifters video?

does anyone have the cam and lifters from o&j if so can i get a video clip im just wondering what they are supposed to sound like because something about mine just seems off when its running it seems like its backfireing and running kinda ruff but it is a stage 2 cam so just looking to compare it to something before i make my next move

i just got done installing some mech lifters from o and j as well and they are loud. i believe thats how they are supposed to be. what did you set your lash to?

they are set pretty lose right now because if i set them to .009-00.11 it wont run not enough compression

Check your compression. I got a bad cam from O and J once. O and J is a great company, their cam grinder is a different story.

it is from 2008, my compression is 90 but i thought maybe it was the compression guage ill put a stock cam in it tommorow and check it then

90 sounds about right. I get about 100 or so. This cam doesn't make much compression FYI.

Then how does it make more power with less compression

Static compression is different the dynamic compression. A static compression test is just used to determine if each of the cylinders are sealing properly. You are really only looking for the same reading between cylinders. This cam isn't really efficient below 2000rpms, thats why your readings are lower.

i noticed you and gladman had a dicussion about cams, i like the torque with the stock cam i dont plan to be turbo for a while do you think i will still enjoy driving the car na with that o&j cam or should i just stick with the stock cam i like to auto cross my car and drift sometimes im not really into drag racing

So no one has a video of their car idling with solid lifters?

lol, I can show you what it sounds like without lifters and a hyd cam from them. The lifters are not happy.
SOHC-T: Arias 8.8 Pistons, AMS Sportsman rods w/ ARP rod bolts, Clevite main and rod bearings, Arp main and head studs, Portmatched head, Garrett TO4E 50 trim .60 .63 a/r, Cxracing FMIC-Intercooler piping, Greddy rs bov, Tial 38mm wastegate, Lc-1 WB, Jgs DP, circut sport sr downpipe, CXracing exhaust, O&J stage2 cam, Aem EMS.

Finally 300hp

ok got it all in, went with the stock cam ,any idea what would cause it to keep randomly backfireing
