Hay guys I just picked up this 1990 ka24e for $260 just has a blown head gasket between cylinder 2 and 3. Other than the usual baked on oil residue it's a clean engine for 140k miles and still has the honing hash marks on the cylinder walls
my plan is to drop it in my truck and turbo it up to about 225hp with megasquirt And the Ford edis ignition and possible gsxr itb set up so should be a fun project

So got the engine completely apart and most it cleaned the crank is almost flawless...
And I have rebuild parts ordered and then o&j under cut valves and stage 2 cam
I'm gonna order soon hopefully

so update i painted the block, got the new pistons in polished the head and 3 angle seat cuts, painted the valve cover and other stuff now im just waiting for my o&j valves to come in and then order the cam and then i can finally assemble it then on to the ignition, ms ecu, transmission and transfer case rebuild/reseal and im considering getting the diff axles and hubs from a 240sx and fabrication to throw irs in the back but need to figure some stuff since my truck is lifted... can you forward me to any 720 irs swap threads you know of thanks!
