top mount set up downpipe

Post by 93sr20det »

I know this is a KA-T forum, but I was wondering if anyone had tried the topmount set up down pipe and if anyone had clearance issues or any pictures of it installed. They list 2 on their website, one that is for a top mount set up with 2 oxygen sensor bungs, and then there is one that comes with an sr20 cast manifold that has a flex section. I sent them an email but no one responded. Any help on this would be appreciated guys.

Which manifold are you using? Is it tubular or cast?

He is using this but the tubular has the same placement if you bought the cheap one.

Huh? I bought a cast ISIS that's identical to the cast godspeed... the dp i had would work with my last manifold, but will not work with this one. That's why I'm asking which manifold he's using

I guess you can say there is a slight tilt of the flange between the two. They are close though.

That's what I'm worried about... some places are notorious for not checking fitment. I'm hoping this isn't the case bc I already paid for it
Otherwise I'm gonna have two useless down pipes

If so, just make one out of two.

Subscribed, because I'm in the same boat. I have that exact tubular manifold, and have no idea what turbo outlet/downpipe combo I need to connect it to my test pipe.

Well mine isn't working, several factors could be different for you. I'm using this on an sr, manifold is almost identical though but mine is cast. One problem i am having is there is no brake booster clearance. I'm hopefully going to solve this by either loosening mounts and moving motor a bit, or using a sentra master cylinder. The other clearance issue I'm having is that the downpipe is rubbing the steering shaft. Maybe that will clear up if the motor is moved any

get an s14 5speed non abs brake booster. worst case u gotta redo the DP, theres def room for a 3" to clear on all sides though.

Thats a different manifold than mine... if the flange is not turned that 1/4 of an inch or however much its angled, it will not fit... if its a KA manifold you don't have to worry because all those looked to be angled slightly
