Alot of ppl are getting ridiculous with the price for an 240. I had a guy trying to sell me an 88 hatch for 2000 grand. I finally got the chance to see it and it was crappy. No interior, no trans and no rear-end. The motor was shot(thrown-rod) and the body had significant damage to the rear quarters. Not to mention the guy had no title for the car. This is how i feel about the prices.

Running 240 in good condition 1000-2000
Shell (non-running & W/o Motor & W/o Tranny) 300-500 Depending on how the body looks maybe more $$$$
Shell w/motor 400-1000 depending on body condition and condition of motor and what type of motor
Shell w/tranny same as above^^^^^^^^^^^

*Also what should be taken into consideration is / mods if any, year of 240 also
what extra parts he/she may also have to go along with the vehicle.

P.S Not liking the guys who are doing this based off the latest movies. Then buy one and slaughter it to death and then want to sell it when they no longer have the thrill for the project or they just didn't know what they were doing and getting themselves into from the start. Leave this stuff to the guys and gals who love this sport and not just in it until the thrill is gone. Bad juju.

I paid 1200 for mine with a super clean body, seibon hood, k-sport coilovers, exedy stage 2 clutch, hks catback. granted it had a seized engine, but good trans and still had a/c and everything intact. That was also like 4 years ago

yeah 4 years ago lol. i picked up my first 40 4 years ago for 2k not in the best condition but every thing worked. and my last shell i turned in to a running car i picked up a couple years ago for 5-600 cant remember. le hatch pleather and all. heck traded it with the orig motor from my first one still runs strong kid loved it last time i talked to him.

also i still have enough parts to put togeather a motor and a couple trans laying around. so i was just looking for a shell something to keep my hands busy.
