Where to get SS braided brake equip?

Post by DRFTPUNK »

So i have a project motorcycle also, a Yamaha XJ1100 Maxim it is in need of some routine maintenance but of course everything is out of production on it >.< some places sell what seems to be generic brake line stuff for it but it's over priced.

i was hoping to buy some generic ss braided lines to length and then stick on some fitting banjo bolts and ends. you guys usually know some good places for cheap DIY stuff.

eventually i'll need to figure out how to put on a new foot brake and master cylinder but for now new lines would be great.

/of course if anyone is up on their motorcycle knowledge i'd be more than happy to learn whatever you have to offer :D

summitracing sells prefabbed lines and stuff to make custom ones too. Think the only thing they dont sell that i use with my vehicles is beer.
I bought my clutch lines (short brake lines) from them, 3AN ends and then just bought the adapter pieces to fit with my stuff

the lines look nice too =)

I know I'm 2 years late to this conversation, but most hydraulic parts suppliers can probably help with this. There is a hydraulic store I know of that has a small selection of end fittings and hose and one just selects the fittings and lengths and then they will make them. There is a local track car that picked up custom stainless braided lines from this hydraulic shop and has been using them for a while. It should be the same price or cheaper than retail too for these kinds of custom lines.
