my hot pipe, i like the look of the burnt metal or whatever always liked it. my hotpipe looks like a gun. i still need to weld a nipple and bov thing on it dont make fun of it
Image
here you can see the cold pipe in its entirety. im pretty happy with how it came out, its just a u bend 180d basically with a little twist. using stock grommet thing for the intake mani tb since it has that aicv thing
Image
just random pic that encompases the engine bay
Image
heat wrap and turbo stuff oil feed. made it at a local shop. its a -3 line cost me 20$ good deal imo
Image
intercooler and cold pipe pretty satisfied. i need 2 more t bolts for the couplers at the ic they are bigger than i thought and i cant trim the t bolt clamps down enough
Image
took off one fender so far. this was my "good" fender. turned out it was alot of bondo like expected, and shot bondo powder everywhere when i was trying to cut it, that and the expansion foam i had in there from when i cut my inner fenders a while ago tried to catch on fire. ima make like a few L brackets to put them back together and weld em back home. this weekend thor dies.
Image
thats all for now should have overfenders mounted this weekend oil l ines finshed etc. running sr injectors t28 stock maf and a jw ecu. walbo fuel pump. i think thats it

nice looking set-up. youre brave doing the fenders yourself.

and that has to be the dirtiest engine bay on a 240 i have ever seen.
ever heard of simple green?

for suspension i have kazama links, random tie rod spacer, solid diff bushings solid subframe bushings solid metal tranny mount silk road coilovers, cage from time machine race craft. i think thats it. i bought some energy suspesion end links for the sway bars in the back, then am in the process of making some scooterTM style endlinks for the front.

yo nissan fanatic if you want "tips" like mine check ebay, i got both mine for like 30$ plus shipping, they have dual 4 inch outlets if your feeling super gangster.

ya i know what simple green is lol its just after a few events my engine bay is so dirty, since the track is at the desert basically and whenever i drift off course (alot lol) dirt flies everywhere inside my car engine bay etc, so ***** it. i rarely have my hood open anyways, its just a track car.

the overfenders so far are actually really really easy. the metal is super thin and easy to cut, and pretty maleable. if your considering doing it yourself id say go for it. just make sure to cut high enough the first time, then just drill holes and rivet the fender on (with your wheels that you plan to run on) so you can push in/pinch out the fender to get the wheel fitment like youd like however that be.

now having 19x10.5 rear and 18x10 fronts on my 1998 snake eater vette makes me love not worrying about fitting bigger than 9.5's on the bloodhound 91' 240

lol i saw that on another site and i thought it was a good idea.

the exhuast i cut up and was gonna weld but there were some big gaps so some guy from my friends work welded it up for some burritos, nothing terribly hard to weld though.
all i did was chop a y pipe to length how i wanted it ( i wanted the tips staggerd), then got two tips off ebay, 3 inch tips.
cut the tips at less than 45 degree angle (too muscle car), cut the y pipe to length.
y pipe was 3$ and mufflers were like 30$ on ebay. done
the two into one peice is just off a stock car, my friend had it on the side of his house, im sure lots of v6s or sometihng would have them at a junk ayrd.
did oil lines today, turned out ok but they go over my headlight lol but its fine when my hood is shut, need to get fluids and align it tommorow, ecu is done on thursday and fire it up hopefully and then do the event on sat. tandem vid/pics coming soon.

Matt,
I'm getting ready to cut into the rear fenders of my S13 this weekend. If you have any more pics of how you cut things apart, or how you managed to re-attached them, that would be most appreciated. Guess I'm just a little nervous about hacking up my car and would feel more confident with a better idea of what the guts of the fender will look like once I've sliced 'em open...

Thanks man, great work on your project so far!

those are the only pics i have. just cut it about how i did, mine inners were already cut so i didnt re attach them that much since they were too short... but just relweld them together at the top if you want, or rivet them. hammer it up high first. then put down newspaper over the wheel ( i folded in half one section to get it as close as i did) then bolt the fender down. make sure you wheel/tire/alignment is pretty much how you are gonna run it befoer mounting it. it helps alot to have a friend over while you do this for the extra hand/opinins

it runs, pretty well too. only problem is exhuast leak which im jb welding today, and idle drops a little low/stalls sometimes after its revved then let to idle which might not be a provlem for grip but for drift could be a problem with a super long ebrake slide or something. im going to horse thief tommorow, once i get used to the extra power should get some tandem vids im psyched. late

i did the cold pipe like that so i could use the stock throttle body thing and keep that nipple on it for idle whatever. its a 2.5 inch pipe and the thing stock is like 2.75 so you use another coupler as a spacer kinda to make it snug. works cool
here are some pics from the event
since then i remade my exhuast, am about to do another alignment, and going to the drift buffet comp on sunday. wish me luck, tandem class lol

was only boosting .4 bar at best lol, then got a super bad leak between my manifold and turbo, i replaced that already and moved my wastegate pick up to the intake mani side for a tad more boost. dont use ebay gaskets, half of it was mia lol. had a small fire actually lol but it was no biggie got it put out and i got to keep drifting. bye

i dont have any more pics of the fenders. it looks the same. at static height its about 1/32nd or so clearance from tire to fender, lol

Looks like he used the stock intake piping, maybe the blue coupler is all the way to the bottom of the pipe to give it added diameter? I do see it also.

Edit: Whoops, nevermind, he already said that. Dum dee dummm.
