Z32 maf install + wiring info
well I decided to do a small write up since I was at it.
This is how to wire in a z32 maf ( n62 ) into the factory s13 wiring harness
this is the stock conector :
and the z32:
cut the harness off the old connector and start soldering the wires from the z32 connector together. Make sure you get good penetration with the solder and shrink wrap it when your done.
Here is a diagram that I made. From searching on the forum Im almost positive this is how you wire the two together if not PLEASE TELL ME !!!!! and I will make the changes.

haha thanks man... ah just wondering, in the background you can see the engine harness ... I am taking all my idle control off the intake and all the emissions is already off but to make the harness look abit cleaner can I just cut off the wires I dont need and tape them up or something like that so there not in the way ?

Quick question.
Some diagrams show both grounds going to the wiring harness and others (like yours) show one going to the chasis. Whats the worse that would happen if you dont have one going to the chasis? Im guessing it would just cause your car to stumble and **** at high rpms.
Also, what gauge wire did you use to connect to the chasis?

I connected both the grounds together and connected them to the wiring harness ground. No problems yet.

Ya theres not a really a YOU SHOULD DO THIS when wiring the two ground wires, some people take one ground the the chassis some others just attach both together to the harness. I guess it depends on your preference, I have "heard" or "read" that some people had issues with wiring them in together but so far adamky said he's not having any issues yet so looks to be alright

well most of us here are/will be using the z32 maf because it flows more and it works with tuned ECUs but your ecu must be tuned for it. cant do it with a stocker. and i hope this gets locked in the how to section. its very helpfull

ok nvm! here is for the new people that dont know how to wire i'll make it clear white goes to white and black/white goes to black/white and the two in the middle go to ground on the s14 wire ok there you have it. I wired it wrong due to someone's post that was incorrect so my car idled like sht but i didnt damage it lucky me thanks though, but now it runs fine.

Sorry to revive this. I know the diagram at the top is pretty self-explanatory, but I have a question since my car runs like ass and I think my MAF may have something to do with it. When wiring the Z32 MAF in, you connect white to white...striped to striped...then I connected the orange to the black...and grounded the Z32 black. That is correct right? I've been having problems since my install soI want to narrow down all the possible problems. And it's suppose to read 1.3 volts @ idle? Is this all correct?

Exact same as this one.
For anyone interested interested in "salvaging" their OEM harness and not cutting off their stock MAF plug, if you have an extra TPS sensor, you can chop it up and use the female receptical to make an adapter cable to go from the Z32 to your OEM harness without having to cut it. I did mine this way and it saves you the trouble of having to ever rewire to go back to stock for whatever reason.
