'95 Zenki KA-T build

Post by Kamilitaryman »

Hey guys, Im new to the forums. Here's a few pics of my baby when she 1st came out the "paint shop" (family job)

Image

350Z front calipers, KYB GR2s w/ Eibach Sportlines (seems all too common if you ask me lol). ebay SS headers; d.pipe and test pipe (it was a cheap & temporary exhaust fix till I was going to start the rebuild) with a eBay muffler.. sounds quite amazing lol

Currently:

I started preparing the motor today for removal & rebuild into a KA24DET.
I'm so freakin pumped & I can't wait until she's done. We are aiming for ~350-400hp

parts I got so far:
Nissan KA Clevite Main and Rod Bearings
AMS Sportsman Series KA24 Rods
Brian Crower Stage 3 Cams
Supertech INCONEL Exhaust Valves for KA24DE 0.7mm oversize
Supertech Intake Valves for KA24DE 0.5mm oversize

Thanks a lot! To tell you honestly...I hope I never have to go through another S15 swap again lol. The fenders, lights and hood did NOT want to line up. Its was pure pain but the outcome looks good i think. RaceonUSA,which is where I got my conversion fenders, said that they are perfect fit...I call BS! If I could do it all over again...I would've kept it stock. Put it this way....if I ever, EVER crash this I will probably cry, not because I crashed it, but because I have to do it again lol If you plan on taking it to a professional body shop to get the swap done, then you're better off but if you never did any kind of body work then I suggest you keep your stock front end. I hope I didn't scare you away from your decision ;)

Finishing up my S14.5 conversion too and I agree, it's a lot of work if you DIY. I went into purchasing my conversion fenders knowing they wouldn't fit too well...I planned to cut them up and modify them anyway, so I bought some of the cheapo Origin/Version-Select S14.5 fenders.

Your S14.5 looks really good, congrats on all of the hard work...it looks like it really paid off. Looking forward to following your progress with the KA-T build.

Looks great. Watch out for the new shiny paint on the fenders while doing the swap. Engine before paint next time maybe?

Yeap, the fenders seem to be the common issue with the S15 swap. Oh well, you either deal with it or pull your hair out lol. Thanks a lot and I wish you luck with your swap as well! Post pics once you are done. I'd like to see how it came out!

I wish I had my own shop then I can just keep going at it as much as I needed. Im doing all this work at my friends shop (I know, Im lucky) so I have access to lifts etc etc

Looks good so far, lol but clean those parts up... some how even dirtier than my engine / accessories. Maybe your KA didnt leak a protective layer of oil all over itself like most seem to do lol.

BTW - where did you get the blue gauge cluster lights? Seems like a nice touch.

It's a extreme dimesnsions mock of the Origin bodykit, When we 1st put on the skirts and molded them to the body it looked too plain. My brother in-law decided to give it a little twist by adding his own mold to the door. As you can see it flows pretty nicely!

Looks good, you should space those wheels at more and lower it.
It's always broken.
