i wasnt there but you dont catch me bad mouthin them rotary engines....i see them blow away evos all day at the tracks down in south america and in jamaica. Its hilarious cause the evos come with big turbos and all AMS parts with AEM standalones while the RX-7 guys come at em with big turbos and weber carbs LOL.

Got a buddy with a 83 FB that has the carbed 12A. It'll scoot if you give it gas. Thinking about buying it for a DD. He only wants $400 and it runs.

We will rain and car permitting be racing on both days. I don't know if this is a joke and I say it being entirely serious but were aiming for a 6.9 pass this weekend.

Can we do it I don't know. I'll tell you this my team is being directed by oso tech and I don't put it past him or our guys. The team effort can accomplish anything. I sold alot of parts so we could afford the upgrades.

Hey Guys,

Slight update, well update. Couple problems, but they were things we expected.

Some of you guys already know by just seeing the times lately that we were pushing the motor and car to the max in hopes of a 7.0 to 7.3 pass. We have all come to the general consensus that after almost 10 years of playing with the KA that we have maxed the stock block/stock cranks potential.

On Friday night we had an issue with Rod Bolt Stretch and it is due to a couple things. Not just one thing in particular. Our Pauter Rods have served us well for 10 years, the set that did this weekends 8.40 pass were a spare, emergency set that are now 8 years old. The L19's just wouldn't hold up, but its not the bolt.

Car did a 8.30 pass @ 172mph but threw a rod. This engine was the spare as the initial motor had the same failure on Friday night on the dyno before heading out. The guys gave it there all and this engine wasn't in the car until 6:50AM Saturday morning!!

So, cliff notes..

1. Stock KA Block, filled will hold 1200HP for a limited time.
2. ARP doesn't manufactur a L19 Rod Bolt, however Pauter Rods in combo with a V8 ARP L19 Spec Rod Bolt will fit ;) ( I gave you this free!! )
3. The stock 4 counterweight crankshaft can spin 11000 RPMS when only used for short periods of time. This is the biggest downfall in the KA, but keep in mind the engine was designed to make torque, not go rev happy.

So, we are going to build 2 more motors to finish the rest of the season with the current blueprint. The next engines for the following season will get tested later this year. 8 weight Crankshaft from Brian Crower and a SLEEVED KA24DE block.

Bet you didnt think that was possible ;)

PS - to the guys at the event that came by, showed there support, took ictures with the car. That was awesome! I am glad to see people reppin the forum and the KA's. The burgundy 240SX that ran has tons of potential.

Yeah, us Puerto Ricans are crazy.

Its a Nissan KA Piston, just has some slight upgrades thru Wiseco. We can build any bulletproof 600-700HP Engine for about $3000. Similar to what were going to use for the next event.

Would consist of a stout block built by Junior and Oso.

Clevite Bearings
Pauter Rods
Custom Spec Wiseco Pistons with Upgraded Wrist Pins
Full Assembly

Couple other tricks as well..

Boriqua right here...When I say we're crazy, WE'RE CRAZY...

I wonder how much room we have on the block to bore out to 93mm and sleeve...

What sleeves are you going to use? Darton MID Sleeves...

Keep up the good work and education...
