New World Record - Import DPS KA-T 240SX goes 7.73 @ 182.3MP

Post by importdps »

On Sunday, August 23rd Import DPS Nissan 240SX KA-T Powered Drag Car once again ran a new personal best and World Record Best for this engine. Oso, Junior, Zeek, Hugo, Alexis worked an all nighter getting everything set to make this event. More importantly in less than 5 hours of a refreshed engine coming off our dyno (yielded 11XX HP) the car did a first pass of 8.2 with 0 boost off the line. A line was disconnected from the RacePak System. On the second pass, it was Import DPS Turn to steal the show. We ran a 7.73@ 182MPH and feel the car still has much more left in the tank.

This wouldn't of been possible without a collective group of people doing anything and everything to get the car done in less than 5 days while even changing a electrical system.

Todd @ RacePak - thank you so much for getting this package overnighted.
R & R Racing - The L19 Rod bolts were a blessing as this was a constant weak point in our engine.

ARP - Your tech support and ability to get us these bolts thru somebody we would of never thought to even think of shows you guys are true enthusiasts.

Wiseco Piston - Yet again, the 6 week wait goes out the door for you guys to make sure we have our custom ring and piston set!! For all KA-T builds in house, we will never use anything but the Wiseco Piston.

and of course Bill. Time in and time again you help us out with everything we need. The Supertech and list of other stuff you sent is always right on time. Your company just stands out 110% over the rest!!

To the KA-T and Nissan Community.... While Honda/Acura gets more of the mainstream, little by little thru drifiting an 7 second drag car passes with our Nissan Engines we are showing people that Nissan is still another fruitful and good option!! Keep pushing your Nissans to the limit because by only doing this can you achieve the success that we have endured these last 2 weeks. It wasn't easy, but when you try, then fall, just get back up because eventually there will be a crowd of people over your car and it will bring you the most joy you can imagine.
