KA24DE Intake manifold

Post by ICEMAN.KCMO »

So now that you are on the site, I have asked this question many, many times.

Do you have a dyno sheet of the intake manifold before and after? I would love to pick up a manifold, but would like to see the affects on the power band. I hear there is a torque drop in the midrange, but nobody has said how much. The main reason i want one is to clean up the engine bay. I am willing to loose some midrange for that, unless it is an un-godly loss.

What i would like to see is a sheet on some ka-t setup tuned properly, and see that same setup with the manifold on and tuned for that upgrade.

I am eagerly awaiting your response.

Thanks,
Steve.
Steve.

Help, while we are at it... Why not just organize a group buy on these?

there is a lot of us cheap bastards interested. cheap we may be but performance driven we are. lets see the proof!

BACK TO BACK DYNOS WITH ONLY THE MANIFOLD CHANGED
im sure im dreaming...hopefully your test car is a very standard setup so we can compare curves to another setup. def need RPM based graph not MPH.

Dont forget about a proper tune. You will never see the full power potential unless it gets tuned. I want to see real gains and losses. Not slaping a performance part on and not do any tuning...

duh? im playin with ya but yea, an apples to apples comparison will require having the same timing and fuel. if the fuel map requires tweaking then thats what it takes to do a proper comparison. their not just gonna slap it on and let it run lean or pig rich, thats certainly not going to promote their product. obviously cams have a greater effect but when people do cam comparisons, they swap cams, dial in fuel and run the dyno.

The words i can give are DONT BUY THIS PIECE OF ****. $280 to my house and about 50 in required parts just to make it "fit" then 1 over heated engine due to ridiclous miss match of parts and hours of TRYING to make the stock rail fit and still have a leak on the #4 injector. Its not even in the correct place on the cast. 1/2/3 all fit then 4 doesnt. WTF. I want my 280 + 50 BACK!!!

pull this crap from the market immideatly

VERY FRUSTRUATED X-CUSTOMER OF GODSPEED...

Why in the hell would you change the design from stock. if you used a stock upper cast, there would be no issues, at least on the stock fuel rail.

Next, rather than use a threaded coolant inlet, send the product with the fitting pre PRESSED not threaded...
