S13 vs Prelude < First kill :D

Post by mmmS13 »

So I driving down the highway getting off a random exit to turn around and head back home when I saw a slammed prelude with an exhaust cross the intersection infront of me. Instead of going back home on a side road I decided to get back on the highway behind him lol. He got on the highway aggresively as did I.
We get a nice straight shot and he pulls next to me, honks 3 times. By the second honk I just downshifted to 4th, third honk I just floored it. He got a big jump being in 3rd while I was in 4th, but when I hit boost and my wastegate opened I passed him and his jaw dropped :)

Cool beans. Yea, 4th on the highway is fun to let people think they are running you and you run by them like that.

As slow as my car feels to me now, im quite surprised I walked away like I did. The best part for me was as a first race with a random stranger, it went pretty well :) Totally worth missing my exit and having to back track some.

Those are the heaviest preludes made. Im not taking anything away from your kill. He definitely thought he had something there though lol.

That is true they are quite heavy, I probably shouldve left it in 5th to see if he had a better chance lol.

And the way he was laughing at his friend he did think he had me. lol when I passed him I did the "OH!" face like oh yeah, I have a turbo lol.

Hey a win is a win and weight does not affect it as much as it does when coming out of a dig. The H22 was an impressive motor and back in the day, these were beasts. Give yourself the credit.

That is true, I wouldve done a few more runs with him but I dont know the area way far up that way so I decided one was enough, plus the results wouldnt have changed much. The funny thing is my friend thought his 1.8T golf was faster than my car, and he got walked by a stock 5th gen prelude  But I think the red one here only had an exhaust, idk.

An H22 lude was my 1st car(Wanted a 240 but there were none in the immediate area at the time LOLZ)....Deff a quick car out the box when compared to several other 4+6 cyl comparable imports/sport compacts.

Hell, I walked a harley w/2 of my friends in car from a dig when i was 16...however yeah they are heavy and its possible that it was the h23 not 22 which are still quick but not the same.

Not taking away from the kill though, just stating facts and you cant really compare a boosted KA to any 4 cyl N/A honda motor other than K series. Still +1 for beating another car, another +1 for it being a honda b/c i'm sure we all feel the same way about them lolz.
