625@26psi FWD KA-T

Post by ALTKAT96 »

I finally got my KA-T back up and running after almost 4 years, did some dyno tunning last Thurdays and made 625@ 26psi with a conservative tune on E85. My goal of 700hp was cut short by my PTE 6765 billet which started making noise after a few dyno runs so I decided to leave it at that(turbo ended up crapping out last Sunday @ ATco raceway). I will slap on an old 70MM cast wheel turbo I have laying around so I can keep dailing the car in at the track.

Unfortunately don't have any recent videos of the car just old vids from 4 years ago with the old setup.

The car weighed in @2540lbs without me in it when it was a street car, now it should weigh 2400ish and I have more unnecessary stuff to take out of it.

The plans are to going with a bigger turbo and make 800hp+ but I would like to dial the car in with the power it has made so far before I try to make more power.

This thing spun 1st-4th gear on 26x10 slicks last Sunday at the track.
The boost did shoot up to 33 psi on the track for some reason.

The rev limit is set @ 8500rpm, I also have an ATI 7" damper to help counter act crank vibrations. I'm running a stock style Altima trans with PAR 1-4 dog engagement gears, billet cuff and billet final drive. I also have Quaife diff and a comp twin disc.

One badass altima! Who said KAs can't rev lol

Are you running some type of ignition box with the denso coils or an oem ignitor?
Billet PTE 6765 divided T4, Nismotronic, Speed density, Coil on plug conversion.

Not sure yet I have to send the turbo back to see what they tell me, can't really complain about the turbo since I've put 3 years of 30psi+ of abuse on it and it has been on both my cars.

What cams are you running to make power to 8.5k rpm? Any headwork? Also Where did you get your ati damper. Does it allow u to run all your accessories?
