Thankyou Sir, happy with the torque figure with auto transmission.

Nice numbers dyno video if you have one?
Re: MINI VAN WITH A DIFFERENCE (video Added)
Cool project, the Toyota Corolla a generation or two back used the same design. SCC editor Dave Coleman seemed fascinated with it but it was never used on any performance oriented production vehicles.
Re: MINI VAN WITH A DIFFERENCE (video Added)
I am still investigating a manual conversion, my Largo runs the same auto transmission as the 300zx (same code) will the equivalent manual transmission bolt straight on (Z31) ?
Bell housing looks very similar to my Auto one. I realise that because of the way the largo transmission is mounted that I will have to investigate a cable control.
Does anyone actually know what I need to buy to ensure fitment? Would the Z31 flywheel fit the Ka crank ?
Sorry for lots of questions but you fellas are the best at answering questions.
Cheers

Re: MINI VAN WITH A DIFFERENCE (video Added)
I don't believe that the Largo and S-chassis KA blocks would be any different from each other, so in-case that is accurate the Z31 transmission will not bolt up. You could always be the first to try it out. Can't you just get a 5-speed from an S-chassis? Cable control on a 5-speed? I would think some kind of custom setup similar to shift linkages on a FWD motor. Z31 flywheel will fit. Hope that helps some.

S-chassis ? I live in the UK so there is no 240sx here, I am tempted to chop the bell housing and weld on to the Z31 tranny.
Happy that the flywheels fit, I can obtain a high torque clutch easier being a 300zx clutch. Getting a Z31bolt pattern sent to me so I can put it up to my block for differences.

Re: MINI VAN WITH A DIFFERENCE (video Added)
What would be my best option to convert to manual ? Not worried about the gear linkage, just the best direct fit and able to handle over 500ftlb

Z32 trans or the VQ trans from a G35 (Skyline?) or Fairlady Z.

I know I'm late to the party here and the post is old but in case the OP gets e-mail notifications...
This is a very unique setup, very interesting. With such long runners how you read your plugs or seen differences in cylinder trims?
Do you run an equalizing port linkage at the head side of each intake runner? (an interconnected vacuum block)
Equal length intake plenums with appropriate post throttle volumes always piqued my curiosity. space constraints always being the biggest limitations for them.

Yes there is an equalising pipe on the intake, I have reduced comp ratio to 7.5:1 and advanced the timing
Throughout the Rev range. Now the engine is running so much smoother, zero det.
Beginning to have a lot more faith in the build, I am loving that the torque is in nice and low.
Van is currently in the bodyshop having a full respray in lambo Rosso red
I have a spare intake manifold, if you want, I could take some pictures?
