After waiting for 4+yrs....

Post by Altima-DET »

After 4+yrs of sitting the Altima is back on the road. Installed the GT35r on her with the 850cc injectors.... and thanks to Sdaigle we put a rough tune in her and I drove it 900 miles from Pa to FL. I can't tell you how good it felt to drive her even though I probably should have test her out for a few days prior, but HEY you gotta live a little!

She sat under a tree... :-(

Lots of Tuning to be done but she hella fast compared to the old t3/t4......!

Looks badass! I'm guessing you're gonna run e-85 with those big injectors?

You and me both! At 7psi with the current setup on it, it's faster (butt dyno) than it was with 15psi with the T3/T04E 50 tirm I had on there. Thanks to Jmac636 I was able to get Consult working now I can map trace and start turning up the boost. Planning on running around18-20PSI when complete, but it baby steps. It's a build motor with Wiesco pistons and the heads been ported and polished. It's gonna be fun that's all I can say

wewt another turbo ka in florida!!

What manifold if that?

wtf is up with birds rage dumping on nissans on a rest. I get it too but no tree :angry-cussingblack:

If he is anywhere in jacksonville e85 is pretty much out(I cant think of a single pump off the top of my head) I run 880's on 93octane. Theoretically 370's duty cycle out at ten psi on a t3 meaning he needs at least 740cc to run 20 psi on pump gas(turbo depending obviously), I dont see a problem having a little extra fuel.

Always been curious about a turbo altima nice work!

YEP! no e85 anywhere I have found. I'm running 850cc injectors so I have plenty of fuel for the pressure I'm going to run. The car has been turboed for the last 12-13yrs. But it's time to make bigger power and have more fun. The Manifold is from RevHard but again I bought it back in 2000 when I first started on the project.

In case you missed it... there's no E85 in Jacksonville so..... 850cc is plenty big enough! Thanks and I'm hoping to get this nailed down soon.

Ok revhard was my thought just dont see them anymore lol

Just a heads up, chevy dealer did a test a few years back after increased rubber fuel parts failures, sure enough the ethanol content they found was in some(most) cases more than double the 10% stickers placed on the pump! highest was 24% I'll save the rant on this.. This will have an effect on tuning.

I love this manifold. Its the only one I've tested that fits with the alternator so close. Tru dat about ethanol! But I just learned last night that the Sunoco on Beach Blvd here in Jax has 100 octane so I'll be getting a few gallons of gas for fun soon!

Yeah I was going to mention the sunoco! Huffman got away with a rushed rom tune(timing a little aggressive for my taste) on that stuff, think he did a few events till his nistune came back.

we have a few non ethanol pumps around but it only comes in 89(marine grade)..

You may be one of the few that have had their Altima longer than me lol....bought my '93 (build date of fall '92) in 2000 and still runs great but plan to retire it this year. Keep up the nice work.
