Sucks man. But yep - that's how I cut my finger to the bone. Rushing - I knew the wrench wasn't exactly the best tool to use, but I was already laying on the floor and it was there.

Good news everyone - 3rd time is the charm it seems. Either that, or the lack of a dust plate made the engine unhappy, even though I haven't run them in the past! I've got 6 bolts on the bell housing locked onto the block, and the engine spins free.

Hooorraaayyy.

So, just two weeks behind. No worries :P Cool though, still :D One step closer.

@hpipro yes sir, I was told he had make it for him custom. See link below, I got most everything from this fellow. No badging on it that I can find, but it is well-made. WG placement isn't optimum though, so I may be modifying that when I get the chance.

Sorry everyone, I've been out of town this weekend!

Back in the game.

Idle video, you can see my RPM sync issues. Doesn't rev. AFRs bouncing from 13s to 16s.

Only pulling 50kPa vacuum (about 11in-hg), but that may be my new normal with undegreed Stage 2 cams and an RPM/timing issue. Upper timing is dead on. I will post the picture from home this afternoon to make sure everything is happy and you guys agree.

Compression test coming later. Ah, a tool I actually don't have haha xD. Boost leak test showed some leaking around the injector grommets. Looks like these may be tricky to seal, but I know I can improve it still.

She sounds like a beast. Is that open downpipe? Once you get it sorted out, it will be nasty. Can't wait to see it rip. Good work.

Ya that is open downpipe! I will end up putting some sort of exhaust kit on it but I want to get it under its own power before I start focusing on that. Too determined, haha

I can hear the injectors clacking at idle. Tell me that ain't crazy!

When I put my grommets on for the injectors I cleaned up the seating area with a scotch bite, then I put a little gasket sealer around the inner circle. Then I rotated them back and forth that seemed to fix mine! Sounding good though, I love that manifold!

Yea, the injectors will tick. I got use to mine. My 1000cc Bosch ticked with stock ecu as well. But the 1600cc tick a tad bit louder. Same with my boys S14 KA with same injectors as mine.

Yeah, with the injector grommets you can tell my spacers are just a haaaiiirrr too short. If I tighten them too much, it opens up a small slit on the front sides of the grommets. I will try some sealant and be a little more deliberate when assembling it. As far as BMC clearance it's an inch or two. I will find a picture and get one up here for you.

Are you sure you're not just experiencing the large injectors, and did you put large profile cams in it too? That idle sounds normal for a 600hp 4cyl lol... Looking/sounding awesome!!!

Check out the video and watch my RPM gauge on my laptop. It's all over the place. I am surprised it will even idle. Touch the throttle and it will choke, buck, and backfire. I am sure it isn't cams or injectors although you can hear the injectors clacking and I'm sure I'll have a little bit of lopey once it runs right :)

Two long pulses adjacent to each other, and then a triple long pulse towards the end - all in the same data log! WTH lol.

It's moving slowly but one bit at a time I am answering DIY's questions. Hopefully we can get to the bottom soon. Email support (one reply a day!) is frustrating compared to talking to someone on the phone. I paid a lot of money for this bad boy.

Tuning the VR circuit is what cleaned it up :) On the MS boards there are potentiometers for adjusting threshold voltages/hysteresis.

Now to clean up the loose ends and hopefully get it on the road. I've saved bleeding the brakes for last, and I'm interested to see if the bubble flare I made suffices for the lack of the flare insert on my Z32 BMC. We shall see :)

yo airman, that manifold you got does it utilize the stock cast aluminum flange?? After looking at the video looks like the stock fuel injector ports there just welded up?? I wanna use the stock flange to make mine but I heard when welding to cast aluminum the weld can get porous and lead to a boost leak

The stock injector bungs are welded shut and there are injector ports further up each runner. I will try to get a good picture for you.

I'm sure if preheated and careful working - not getting it too hot will keep it from getting porous.

hmm interesting that makes some sense. Going to try and get on the CNC and make a flange that way but incorporating injector bungs may get a little tricky. Thanks yeah a pic would be nice :) I can't wait to see you shred some tires :D

Got a little update, cleaned up some wiring and finished my cold pipe + BOV flange.

-Still need some clamps for the hot pipe.
-Need to finish putting my wiring back together (mainly the grounds for my LS coils, need to try to wire in my dash tach and wideband input).
-Set up auto table switching for boost maps
-Install front brake pads (bought the wrong pads for my Q45 swap -__- I think I bought '97 for some reason, and you need 90 or 91-96)
-Bleed brakes and hope my bubble flare works in place of the internal ferrule that is suppose to be in the Z32 rear outlet port
-Ensure all suspension/drivetrain bolts are tightened appropriately
-Clean up wiring inside the cabin
-Install passenger seat
-Burn up the rest of my 93 octane and drive to the E85 station
-Profit

Now to get tuning and continuing my button-up process.

Also, I need to figure out exactly how my adjustable suspension arms work. Definitely gots to do some adjustment.
