open dump
I've always ran open dump on my wastegate since day one. It never went boom in between shifts. It only done it after boosting and letting the car cost. I've noticed after about a month of driving, it no longer goes boom. Maybe it's because I'm not running off of the waste gate spring. I'm running a mbc. What do you guys think?

Re: open dump
Check that your TPS isnt loose, voltage is correct at idle and reset the ecu. It will think the throttle isnt closed and still be adding fuel.

Re: open dump
So does it suppose to go boom and if so when? The car idles and runs fine. It Holds boost like it's suppose to. When I first started on e85 I did have some 93 left in the tank. Do you think the mixture is what was making the wg go boom and shoot flames?

Re: open dump
It shouldnt backfire normally. The TPS adjustment should take care of it

Re: open dump
I'm good then. I fooled around with the tps when i adjusted the idle screw. The wg doesn't boom anymore. I was just wondering was it suppose to. I hear how everyone says open dump sounds so good, I was wondering what the hell they was talking about. Must be talking about that screaming sound when you hit the set boost and it regulates until you let out. Actually i hate it. It drowns out the spool sound of my Lil turbo

Re: open dump
I think its a fun sound in an otherwise quiet car but its hard to hear detonation over it, so i wont ever be open dump unless i have a really nice EMS and knock detection, and a lot of faith in it

Re: open dump
It helps a lot to run a dump tube down under the car.
