finnally i got the block to the machine shop :mrgreen: ive been working crazy. So they said they need the main caps and bolts to bore the block, and hopefully i marked them because its been awhile, all my bolts are tagged and labeled in ziplocks, but i dont think my caps are, if not what do i do, order new ones?!!? :angry-teeth:

im getting my assembly balanced also, crank has been polished and checked already. anybody have any info on balancing a ka24e thats built OEM to be half counter weighted??? dont judge me, this my first build :violin:

its been awhile, nevermind i just check we have grudles on on our engine i just wasnt sure and everything is labeled so far lol

where did you guys get your vavle seats, guides, and stem seal from???? are the vavle guides the same s13-s15?? almost there.........i promise ill have pictures ltr

i got my valves springs and arp studs today from OnadJpeformance, and m fidanza flywheel came in too...people telling me to let the machine shop get the seats and guides etc...or should i order them?

so i went to my machine shop drop off my head and parts and my crank pulley. Well my crank pulley is chipped a bit, and im iffy on it. now im trying to get a brand new OEM one and cant find it. I can get an ASP underdrive pulley but im iffy on that too....

so i had some hiccups and had to buys some stuff...FINALLY!! i can put my **** together...build is more expensive than i thought lol o well im bout that life, ill shop at walmart for awhile **** it

Progress!

People really love the tial wastegates, it makes me even more curious as to what other good options are out there. I went with a precision myself, but I feel like tial, and precision are too mainstream. Either way, its an awesome wastegate! Can't wait to see more

just waiting for these guys to balance my engine, the machine work it done, they are backed up because race season is over or starting so "real racers" are rebuilding etc.

im also moving back to my neck of the woods, ill be in the DC/MD area next month, most of my stuff is packed except my car things, anybody in the maryland area??? i have flares i need to put on, any shop that are 240sx experienced let me know i will need their help on my build.

Im on the EASTCOAST now...moving was a bi*ch, but im glad im in a place with more opportunities and available help....time to get the frog done!!! anybody in the Maryland area? if you want, refer me too some shops, I need some help with these flares

yeah im a little humbled now, going for more realistic goal 400hp is fine by me.

ive been on the east coast for 2 months, I got my stuff at a machine shop finally....picture will come its been crazy, now im settled in I can start building



I never realized all the parts my head needs lol I forgot the inner springs and collets....im thinking about reusing the retainers but im just going to buy everything and drop it off................

ENGINE IS DONE YALL!!! WOOT WOOT!!! machine work completes just waiting for my inner springs so they can finish the head......im painting the block myself, whats the best can paint do people use for that?

so I just realized my tail wastegate is either a weld or "v" band type im not sure but its not flanged....the store bought ready made ka24e manifolds are flange type, ill either have to get a custom made manifold or mod one you can buy....any suggestions? I have turbo manifold "gladman" on that had its external port sealed, I was going to use it with my t25 but things happen and I had to move bla blah blah etc....wonder if I should just mod that one, or is that too much welding on a manifold (structure integrity issues)

sooooo I got my block and my head finished...went to paint my block and I noticed gashes in the back two clyinder walls fml...I didnt see them before and I just got done paintimg the blpck...I know for a fact nothing that deep was in my bores before...I took video and picks of the block before I got machine work done.

so ill be calling these guys to see whats up...if they cant fix it...this will set me back alot, already paid for the work etc...im at the dealership right now getting an oil change...soon as I get home ill update pics I just put them in my photobucket

can the homie catch a break dayummmnn!!!

what part of md are you in? also they should fix it if u have proof of the engine before and after if they treat u wrong make sure to post about it so other people dont get hit by them

here is the two marks I noticed, I call the machine shop and he basically told me it wont affect anything and that it didn't "clean up" perfect on the top in that area but should be good

more pics...sorry I posted pictures late, a series of unfortunate events lol. Hope 2015 is better without issues. had to move from New Mexico to Maryland, while I was trying to build my engine, 1st machine shop didn't have the time to start anything (very small town a lot of request and builds going on), I was in the middle of nowhere, so building a import was hard enough. Enough with the excuses I still pursue my end goal of turbo'ing my ka and getting my car ready.

Head: (thanks OandJperformance!!) haven't decided if I want to go mechanical+cam combo (if its straight drop in and I don't have to shave anything in the head that is, everything is OEM except the valves and outer springs.
