For the oil pan return I just used a tube. It used to be part of the oil return from a stock rb25 turbo. Idk what degree the bend was, I just made sure it lined up with the outlet on the turbo.

There are no vacuum/boost lines hooked up to the wastegates. Those are stainless steel hard lines used for coolant. Decided to hook up the water cooling ports on the wg's as everything is so close to each other. I bent the tubes and flared them myself.

It starts at the block as a single -6an(3/8") tube then splits to a pair of -4an(1/4") tubes then back to a single -6 line. The coolant returns where the temp sender for the gauge cluster used to be. The sender was relocated below the stock location.

Here's to give you a better idea-

At long last...
https://youtu.be/_oOVIHF-Pg0

The CBR coils were ditched in favor of QR25DE coils. Even though they don't require an external ignition module, they did require a bit of fabrication to fit the valve cover properly. Well worth the effort as I can run standard spark plugs with these coils.

I'm been pretty busy so progress has been slow and will continue to be for a while. Slowly overtime I'll clean her up and get her ready for the street and the track. I'm just happy that I can start the car and drive it in and out of the garage lol

How did you get the qr25de coils to reach the plugs?

What oil filter are you using on your turbo oil feed? Trying to figure out which one to get for my PT5857 dual ball bearing turbo...

I haven't posted in a long time. I forgot I had uploaded a ton of pics but never got around to posting them, so I'll be dumping them here.

Update on the car:

Currently the car is sitting with cracked ring lands. 20psi on pump gas was a ***** blast but the stock Pistons couldn't handle it. This happened a year ago and the car has been parked ever since. Hopefully this summer I'll replace the broken piston so I can have a bit more fun with the car, this time run less boost and switch to e85.

These pics were taken at a local IFO event. I actually ruined the engine on the way to the event...

Still one of my favorite S13 KA-T builds. Good luck with your rebuild, and should you ever want to sell that intake manifold or make another hit me up :D

Wow. This thread has nearly 50k views! Glad to see photobucket pulled their head out of their ass...

I still own the car, and the car is still sitting with broken ringlands.

I’ve gotten so side tracked from this project, it’s not even funny. Let’s see, I learned how to do 3d CAD design, built a 3d scanner for scanning trinkets and for reverse engineering, I’m still working on my engineering degree while working full time(not recommended!), I got into 3d printing last year, and just finished building a new core-xy 3d printer. Let’s say that I’m ready to come home to.where it all began...

Stay tuned.

Great to hear your making good moves in life to advance yourself.

Question about your exhaust manifold..... do you butt the sch10 pipes to each other and back purge or what size gap do you leave? Are you making more than one pass on your welds?

I don’t really leave a big gap between the pipes. Only before tacking, but just enough that after the tacking process the pieces are butting together from the shrinkage, yet they are not overlapping.

I bevel them to nearly a knife edge, but not make the bevel so wide that you have to run multiple passes to build up the material that was removed. It’s very possible to weld the joints in a single pass yet still achieve 100% penetration while keeping the face(both sides of the weld)flat with the parent material or slightly convex. There is no need for excessive build up as that’s just a waste of material. And yes, all butt welds are purged 100%, even during the tacking process.

“Balanced, as all things should be” :)

Sup guys. Long time no update!
Finally made an exhaust (full 4inch diameter) and started putting some miles on the car once again. Slowly working on the engine tuning, only running 5~6psi wg spring pressure for now. Feels good to be driving this thing again.
It's been a minute!
