question about enthaply tuned?

did you get the stepdown harness and a tuned obd1 ecu? how is that working for you? im guessing you cannot use the obd2 port anymore. im thinking about going this way, how is it working for you? any regrets?>

for the price no regrets. Yes the harness is a beuty and yes s13 ecu. It works good. Now that I have a dyno result it will be sent to him for the final tune. after 4800rpms my a/f goes down to 10.5, so he will be fixing that for me. The only regret I have is that I didn't have the money for AEM Evil or Very Mad

^no lag. the 50 trim is an ideal turbo for anyone looking for good power without sacrificing response. look around, you wont find anyone saying they regret buying a 50 trim unless they are looking for more than 450hp.

You know what? That powerband looks really similar to the GT32 powerband. 200ft/lbs @ 3000rpm and pulls good up to redline.

What cams you have??

I run a 248* intake cam S13 and a 232* stock 97 cam. The turbo spools pretty good I would like it to be a little more responsive at the beginning. Right around 3.5k to 4k the car is xtreemly quick. I feel the torque drop off around 6k. Like I said I'm still in the tunning process with this thing. My torque should go up and the hp should peak a little more.

As for the wing.....DUN DUN DUUUUNNNNN! ACCORD WING. Came with the car. The underneat side of the wing says accord. I found this out by washing the car and felt unederneat the wing and OH S#$T. I have ricer parts on my car. lol. Looks good IMHO.

There are ways to make your turbo more responsive. I have the same turbo with the same specs but it starts to spool at 2900rpm and i get full poost by 3500rpm. 600rpm might seem like a lot of room but you dont even notice it. Thats only in first to third gear. Fourth and fifth it starts to spool at about 3300-3500 rpm depending on my speed and full boost hits at 3800rpm. I can drive on the highway in 5th at 3000rpm with no boost but as soon as I blip the throttle the spool is instantaious. The 50 trim is the ideal ka turbo and theres a lot of proof on this board about it. IMO the gt32 and t3/to4e are the same thing with a different name and price tag.

As for spoolin quicker it all depends on your supporting mods. IC and piping, exhaust mani, DP, intake mani, cams, blah blah blah. I have 2.5" piping with a SSAC IC 3" inlet and outlet, GZ tubular mani, stock intake manifold, 1.5 ft intake pipe on the turbo inlet, 3" DP no cat. I also have my mani and turbine housing ceramic coated, and the DP wrapped.

I agree, I'm running a 50 trim 60A/R, and it boosts at around 2700 rpm and full boost 14lbs at about 3200 rpm, the boost comes on very quick, i love it, but sometimes almost too quick.

you want quick spool? timing at spool pressure/maf load is critical also the timing transistioning into boost is very important. also electronic boost controls will allow the wastegate to achieve the desired boost faster and more accurate!

Nice results!

This thread definetly puts an interesting light on the t3/to4e vs gt32 comparison.

Low Dough vs Hype???

On a side note, how is the SSAC manifold holding up for you man?
Are you nervous at all about it failing on you? Is it a top or bottom mount?

Thanks for your reply

No problem after a year........althought yesterday I noticed a small crack on the number one runner. I am yanking out the engine this week to fix a couple of things. Oil leaks and cleaning up the engine bay a little.
