I doubt MS13 would care about someone's turbo car. probably some **** spray. (of course I dont know any ACTUAL story.. maybe this guy got into some trouble with them.. anyong got any info?)
When my dad was in college in the 70s, he had his 63 vette pumped and running 10s. (His car would do wheelies all day and he always talks of how you had to barely curl your toe to NOT burnout).
Car got stolen and stripped down to nothing just like this car was. My mom said it ruined him for a long long time. _________________ http://www.areasoundmusic.com

Well I read all of the comments. People accused him of talking **** to people ect ect. And he had said that he had done nothing wrong, which it seems genuine. But he also said, that he has won some pretty big street races, and people did know that the car had potential. He ran a 10.9 at 140 something. Very nice car. He said that MS13 had probably just seen his car, wanted it, and taken what they wanted. Nothing more. _________________ It's always broken. |

still doesnt relieve the fact the ms13 are ruthless. they came from south american countrys. they are hacking people up in the burubs with mecheties, cutting off peoples arms and stuff. they had a big special about them on like Dateline a few years ago. Guys are nuts and will do anything. _________________

what said is if the guy never had an alarm or never garaged it either. a lesson to all. don't try to mod your car unless you have the means to have an alram on it, garage it or whatever. you can't stop a thief but you have to do what you can to stall/delay/dishearten them so they will go for another car. _________________ feel the rhythm. feel the ride. get on up. its bobsled time!!! Hey,
I'd first like to say sorry bringing up such an old thread, but I wanted to thank the OP for posting this video on the forum. I created this video in 2005 I believe it was and it's just what I wanted it to be, a tribute to the car that gave you an image of it's whole life.
Let me take the time to give you a brief history of the car. The car was bought around the year 2000 brand new from the Honda Dealership, an automatic may I add . My brother didn't want to do anything at the time with it, I don't even think he was interested much in cars like that at the time. Later on he started doing minor things, my guess is from reading the usual car magazines, Import Tuner, Sport Compact Car, etc. The first couple of things done was a Greddy exhaust, Intake system, which he had done at a local car shop called Vertex Motorsports. He later then got a front bumper put on too, not sure of the exact name. A couple months later parts were being taken off his car, the bumper, the intake. When we would go back to Vertex to get the parts for his car, we noticed things were always in stock, so we learned to stop shopping there real fast.
After a couple months he decided he wanted to go faster and started shopping at a place locally called Autoauthority where he had a greddy turbo kit installed, nothing big, only took about a second off his time if I believe, but being that the car was automatic it didn't help out that well.
The car then looked like this:

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk294/km_photography/Cars/Exownzu/4428811dv4.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk294/km_photography/Cars/Exownzu/4428810zc5.jpg
http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk294/km_photography/Cars/Exownzu/4428809iz4.jpg

http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk294/km_photography/Cars/Exownzu/4428802mf9.jpg
I don't know how much longer went by, but around 2002 he decided he had enough and wanted to get it going. Called up inlinePRO, told them what he wanted, parts etc, and wanted them to do the work on. They of course complied and did so. Thats when the car was changed from automatic and had the stuff done below, I may not have all the parts, I may have some things spelled incorrectly which I am sorry about:
B18C1 Swap
84 1/2MM Sleeves (Golden Eagle)
Eagle Rods
Aris 9:1 Pistons
GSR Head
Type R Cams
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
Inline Pro Turbo Manifold
Precision Turbo SC61
Inline Pro Intercooler
TR & D 3in Cat Back
Hondata Fuel Management
.1000 CC Injectors
Aeromotive Fuel Pump, Filter, Pressure Regulator
DSS Stage 5 Axles
Qiafe Dif
Ground Control coilovers
Suspension Technique Swaybars
8 Point Roll Cage
Sparco Speed Seats
Greddy A/F Ratio, Boost, EGT, Fuel Pressure Gauges
Cometic 3mil Headgasket
After getting things done tunning etc, the car was set. At the time he and a couple other Honda owners basically ran the area, nobody wanted anything to do with them, it sometimes came down to the point where when they knew he was going out to the races, others wouldn't even come out because they knew what the outcome would be. When the car was done I was 15 and was basically scared to be in the thing. I remember one time distinctively when he punched it. He turned on to a straight road, and just blazzed the tires up ripping through the gears, I remember us passing a Taxi doing a great speed, all I remember was holding on to the roll cage. By the time we got about 1/4 mile down the road and made a U turn, he was finally coming about half way up the road at us.
The car won a lot of street races, most I didn't go to because of my age and my brother not wanting me out there in case any kind of trouble were to happen. I believe he said he lost 2 races if I remember correctly.
January 2004 the car was stolen and completely stripped as you saw in the video. We still have no idea who did it and it's been left at that for the most part, there have been some rumors that there is a video of it online being stripped, but nothing has shown up either so were not to sure. As my brother told me, "It's not will your my car be stolen, it's when will my car be stolen."
He know drives a hatchback which he is in the process of selling, but heres a look anyways:

Thanks again to the OP for posting this I'm glad to see it got around and again sorry for bringing up such an old post.
One member said something about a car alarm. The car in fact did have an alarm, a good one at that, but these also weren't you local HS kids looking for a joy ride, they knew what they wanted and they were successful at getting it. If someone wants your car bad enough, they're going to get it no matter what way they have to go about doing it. |

dang man.. wow..it hurts my heart and its not even mine
I appreciate you coming on and sharing the story
I just recently witnessed a car jacking(I guess you could call it that) about a month ago at a local meet, a civic hatch ironicaly..it was beautiful, i dont even like hondas and i was like damn. Anyways this guy came up to the meets showing it and stuff trying to sell it, and this other guy that had it stolen 2 years ago was there!!, turns out he always carrys the VIN in his wallet to just randomly check hatch's that he see's i guess.
so the guy that got it stolen 2 yrs ago ( guy1) asked the guy trying to sell it (guy2) if he could take a look, so both the doors are open and hes looking around the car and stuff, then all of the sudden the driver(guy 2) starts hauling ass backwards and almost runs (guy1's) friend over with the door. Then he put it in gear and started hauling ass out of the parking lot when guy 1 jumps on the windsheild and works his way up to the sunroof, gets half his body in and starts beating this guy in the face while hes driving. Guy2 lets go of the wheel trying to pry guy1 off and throw hiw out of the sunroof ( while driving through cars and people but didnt hit anyone.0 so guy1 finally works his way into the car and into the backseat and i guess they are fighting as he drives off.. thats the last i saw but guy1's friends were following in all there cars chasing this guy.
dont know if he ended up getting the car back or if anyone had a gun or what. but it was pretty intense an i stay aware now. _________________ Build.Boost.Break.Repeat.

It's sad how many people steal in our country. You can't trust anyone these days. Really sad.
All that hard work, time, and money all down the drain. _________________ Andy
