Hows it going guys, I'm super busy but a couple of people have been asking for pics on the progress of the ls1 truck coil conversion...here is a pic of them mounted..

AEM

Look good, I want coils but I don't want to go aem or megasquirt. What you gonna use?
03 evo8 gsr: stroker 2.3 ;)

04 evo8 gsr: totalled

96 integra gsr: sold

89 s13 coupe: stock dohc, gt3076, megasquirt

started 3/15/08, running 1/18/09, finally turbo 2/9/14 lmfao

My buddy is running the ls coils and when he bought his it came with the oem bracket and had to do a little modification and mounted them under his intake mani. But he is running a Xcessive mani.
Had too many to keep track... :/

ya i have called over 30 times trying to get a hold of tex....i always leave a message with chris and the lady secretary or whoever she is . he made me a ls2 coil harness and had some questions . he will NOT respond . bre sucks the big one . very **** company . I say bre should be banned .....they are not active to this community

oh we are still active ... just have alot more then cars going on now a days ... :) its good to have old threads though .. people can look back and find info they might need ... if we deleted them all then we'd all be screwed ...

even though this thread has no point at all except my post that his hood closes :)

I meant just the regulars that post here and maybe like o&j. no other sponsors update their stuff or come out with new things, which is understandable.

It looks like he welded nuts or material which was then drilled and tapped to mount the coils directly to the valve cover. I like that, pretty nifty if you will. I do like the idea of getting the ignition components farther away from the exhaust manifold/turbo area though.
