Re: Turbine housings question

So an .82 divided housing would match well to a GTX3576R? Alright, yeah not really planning on making a 8k capable motor, however I am looking to be able to on the right fuel (corn) get near its max power. From what I've read ~550hp even if it's just on rare occasion. Most likely be looking to make ...

Turbine housings question

So I've been looking at buying a GTX3576R for my new build. Originally I was going to go with a standard T3 BEP .70A/R Holset Super 40, however since last year I got my hands on a Full-Race divided T3 thanks to my dad. So I'm looking at a T3 .82A/R divided turbine housings would that be somewhat equ...

Can't wait to see your new powertrain combo. When I came by last to grab my dad's fuel rail it was in teardown phase.

Re: Tax Dollars at work--running with video!!!

Damn dude this car has come a long way. I picked up another '98 in July, got some big plans for it. The white car ended up having some pretty nasty frame damage from a shop I dropped it off at hit a curb then jumped/mounted it from what I can tell. Of course they denied it which was funny because th...

Not my car but some action from over the weekend

2012 GT500

2012 Vortech 5.0

The GT500 owner kept talking about how much power he made at the crank and how it would beat any non GT500 Mustang... A lot of talk for someone with a pulley swap...

I have an extremely nice multimeter. Hit me up if you want some training. I use multimeters and do wiring harnesses for a living.

Remanufactured / New cranks

So... just got a call from my engine builder and the crank has a hairline crack. I was just about to buy my turbo manifold too... He says it might be able to be polished? But he did also say I may need a new crank. The funny thing is I just ran across a thread on a great place to pick up remanned cr...

There are no problem with hitting waterchannels if you drill like I did :)
Thanks for this idea, I like this better than $400 GTR studs... Seems fairly straight forward now.

All I want to be sure of is not cutting off the oil flow and ensuring the block is drilled properly to support it. The guy I talked to scared me a little when he was saying there's no reason to do anything extra and the oil won't be an issue. I think I understand the theory and I see the ports by th...

So what was needed for the block to accept 12mm head studs? You just drilled tapped and in they went? What about the oil passages? I badly want to finish my build and this is all that's standing between me and finishing.

12mm head stud process

I see people running 12mm head studs for the higher HP figures and I'd like to do it as an insurance over built kind of thing. I have a lot of information but not all of it makes sense to me as I am not a machinist. For a little background I already have a fully built block and head and will be fed ...

I would highly recommend Forturne Auto as well. If you want to save a few hundred the Megan street series coilovers are also fine with a slight sacrifice in ride quality over the Fortune's.

Are there any videos of said C78 cams. Drivability test or anything? I wish JWT would post some pictures, dynos, or videos... They had to have tested it before putting it out for sale.

The thread states you can see you build specs in the RIDES section? I think that hasn't changed in quite a while. It still states 10mm head studs and whatnot. What turbo are you running now and how far did the Master Power get you?

New member, been lurking for years, never registered

Hello all I have always owned a 240SX, it was my first car. At the begining it started out as a stock '96 with a Greddy DD exhaust. It got new OEM suspension, new fluids and a good wash. I drove it for a few years it was just fine, did some light track work, mostly autocross. Always wanted to build ...

Q45 97+ diff

So as long as I still use the 300ZX and Q45 driver side axles and hubs the 97+ diff will bolt right in?
