Why? What does spending $1k get him with his setup that nistune doesn't?
(I'm assuming he's got the nistune already.)

Re: Ka24det spark/fuel crank no start

Wonder if he slightly tore an o-ring while putting the injectors in, or has the wrong injector latency set. I think you're smart using known injectors.
I'd also verify timing with a timing light.

Re: Ka24det spark/fuel crank no start

Might be as simple as a bad/disconnect temp switch so try and start it again tomorrow. I would double check the distributor is stabbed right as it sounds like it might be off on timing with it running rich and getting hot idling. Did the car ever run right after rebuild or did someone give up on the...

Re: Car made 100hp less than it should have

I'm no expert at ka24e but from what I remember reading it really needs a cam to get much benefit out of turbo.
I also think it benefits much less from being turbo since it can't breath as well.

The cx turbo might be to blame too, but I'd start with an aftermarket camshaft.

Re: Car made 100hp less than it should have

1. Have you done a test for boost leaks?
2. What is your spark plug gap?
3. What turbo are you running?
4. What is your timing at 15 psi?
5. At what point do you hit 15 psi?
6. Do you still have cat?
7. DO you have 3" cat-back?

Also are you ka24e or did you swap to a ka24de?

Yeah I just ended up buying another set of after market front control arms and put those on.
Then I bought a use OEM set and put those in the closet for when I have to do this in 8 years again.

PDM Control Arms Ball Joint ?

Along time ago PDM sold complete lower control arms for the S13. I had them on for 8 years, and the ball joint went bad. I pressed out the ball joint, and bought a new S13 one.. Guess what? It doesn't fit. The PDM racing arms use some different (not S13 or S14 or 200sx or sentra that I can find) bal...

Do you just not use 1-3rd gear at all? have you thought about switching to a q45 diff? I'm only 375hp but I am hoping the taller gears make 3rd gear a bit more usable..

I have 235/45 R17 on the rear. (DZ102s)
I had around 330 ft/lb of torque on old cam/engine setup and found it undriveable with the stock 15' so I upgraded then.

GT2876R 17.5PSI 375hp/356tq Played with timing and got 10hp and tq or so, but didn't get much more from increase it any further so I backed off. I upped boost controller too, and even with 16.5psi vs 15.5psi I only got a few HP, so my belief is I'm maxing out the T2 manifold at this point, or I need...

93 octane fuel, and 18psi on a GT2876r not a T3, and I have a 1.0mm head gasket and -22cc wiseco pistons, so I figure compression ratio is 8.7:1 or lower. I've been running 17psi on the street and haven't heard any knock yet, mid-range RPM though it's lower like 14psi though. Thanks for the advice, ...

Tuning/Dyno prep?

Gonna take my new build to the dyno Friday and try and get ignition timing perfected. Got my AFRs dialed in, and gonna start at 16psi on a GT2876R and hopefully go to about 18 psi, and then try 15 degrees of timing, and go up a degree from there until power gains start falling off. I did a boost lea...

I'd try like a 470ohm 1/2 watt resistor. Measure the voltage while charging and go with more ohms if voltage is too high.

Shim removal tool

Anyone have a cheap source for the shim removal tools. The pliers you use to hold the cam, and the wedge you use to hold the side of the bucket down so you can swap the shim without having to remove the cam? I can't find it much cheaper then $46, and for that much I should probably just spend the ti...

Re: Turbo cams, boost and maf values.

The plots are made of multiple WOT (TPS 4.0v) runs that I generate for virtual dyno out of my nistune log files. Those outliers might be me shifting from 3rd->4th in boost vs building boost in 3rd, or maybe deceleration, or hard downshifts, not sure. If I was a real data-scientist I'd have some sort...

Turbo cams, boost and maf values.

Recently installed some Kelford 272 cams in to my ka24de-t with a GT2876r. No I wasn't maxing out the old cams, but wanted some dedicated turbo cams and I love the difference they made make more area under the torque curve. I also do see higher maf values (4.43 v 4.38) then I use to at redline with ...

Have you tried to re-calibrate the wideband? LC-1 was really sensitive to grounding too, so double check it's tight and not connected near another voltage gnd (like radio etc..) Problem sounds electrical to me unless it bogs, smells super rich and almost doesn't run. If it seemingly runs good with 7...

Oil is clean, noise doesn't correspond to RPM. The metal line on the top of the timing chain guide shouldn't be there in a healthly engine right? Got slowly worse over the last 40 miles or so. Turbo oil feed, banjo bolt or other?

Recently got a new oil feed line as my old one was coked full of oil and ruined my turbo which I had to get rebuilt. I bought "TALL RESTRICTOR -4 size .035" Oil inlet fitting" from ATP but it leaks where it screws into the turbo, and there isn't a way to use a crush washer. Don't thin...
