Assembly questions

I am assembling my intake manifold from a billion parts, and trying to get my built motor back together. I am sure I will have alot of dumb questions so forgive me. This is where I will ask them. First and foremost. I have a waterpump gasket, but FSM says use liquid gasket. Am I correct in just usin...

Then you buy another one. When you rebuild, you will keep wanting to get 1 more item while its apart, and by the time its at the machine shop you will be $6,000 into the hole with an engine that blows apart due to bad tuning. If I were to start all over again, I would probably have bought a surplus ...

if you dont bolt the mounts to the motor, and let them sit in the engine you are going to have a hard time. It is a little harder to loosen them from underneath than it is from up top...but its definately worth it in the end.

block with head, timing chains, cams, valve cover, oil pan, crank, pistons, rods, and in a wooden crate is 325 lbs if that helps.

I would guess about 150, its kinda heavy, but light enough for 1 person to move around

like edubb said, put the closed end on the nut, and then the closed end of a larger wrench on the open end of the original wrench. They will grip and you will have 7" or so extra leverage. You might want to soak them in PB blaster, and also try tightening them, and loosening them back and forth...

You are going to have to do it illegally at first anyways. I guess. I am not saying break the law, but I would look into like a small bay rental for a couple hundred a month...lift not needed. Starting/Charging/Power system

I am in the process of putting together a harness for my car. I need a little background on the s13 starting and charging system. From what I can gather from the manual, there are two circuits coming off the positive side of the battery. One of these is running a heavy guage wire to the starter +, a...
