ahh, gotcha, would explain why i couldn't find anything on if crushing it woudl prevent it from leaking at idle.

hmm, interesting. i wonder if it needs to be cleaned or something or if there is some kind of gasket or o-ring that should be replaced

just had a quick question, tried searching on here and on google but never was able to find a difinitive answer.

will crushing a stock DSM BOV prevent it from leaking at idle, and how do you do it and how much do you crush it?

probably, i'm not sure, i bought them used and they are out of production now. i found them on rbmotoring for pretty cheap and the offsets were decent so i didn't worry about it too much.

thanks for all the complements, i am hoping i can touch up the body paint and at least get it all one shade of flat black in the next couple weeks, been hella busy with wedding planning, school, etc... (after may 19th i should have some time to play)

that is something i havnt' checked yet, but i am not sure how it would run fine before the install and then run like poo right after (ran the walbro with the stock injectors for awhile, and then also ran the walbro with the larger injectors tuned for the stock maf with no problems. before the turbo ...

i've checked the injectors, non are leaking, i think it may be the coolant temp sensor, i unplugged the maf, and it ran like poo, black smoke everywhere. i figured out how to get it started and if i keep the idle up it doesn't die, have to have the throttle completely open to get it to start however...

i saw where someone took some of the alteeza style tail lights and took some of the red tint spray you can get at a hobby store and painted them with that and it look pretty nice in my opinion. really updates the look of the car in my opinion.

yes q45s have 370cc injectors, however, the earlier models (can't remember where the cutoff is) has a different style of sidefeed injector that isn't compatable with our fuel rails.

ummm, yeah but the 240s here that compete in the event do SR swap, BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT IS EASIER TO KEEP THE REVS UP AND JUST HAVING ALL TORQUE DOSEN'T MEAN ITS A GOOD DRIFT CAR.
