ya I usually ignore it but it gets annoying after a while. Usually I just tell them that KA is just as capable as the SR. Now I got people telling me the red top s13 and black top 13 are different (something to do with the head) and wont explain where they got there info from. One guys said he hopes...

another sr20 rant
[rant on] why the **** when ever I'm on a non-nissan board and post pics of my Datsun and say I'm putting a KA24 in it, I get a **** load of people telling me that they have been in to nissans for years and have had a few and tell me not to go with the 'truck' motor and just put an sr20 into it. :ro...

thanks. I can't take all the credit. I didn't come up with the idea. There is actually a quarterly news letter for Dimes and a few people have done this and last for years (I'll find ways to upgrade and make it better though) but all the instructions were put in the newsletter so I just had to follo...

some work on my datsun (no ka-t yet)
Only part of my datsun got some work done to it(no motor yet), but I got my rear cross member done. Lowering a dime to much screws up the suspension geometery. So we cut off the old mounting points, put in new ones that are inch higher and will allow me to adjust for camber a toe a little bit. I kno...

couldn't read it all 7 pages of childishness. I love the 13b and rotories, but a turbo'ed 13b is hot ticking time bomb. I know people with race ported n/a motors that last for ever. but I also know guys that highly built turboed motors that are down once a year for a rebuild. I love the 20b and than...

One method is cutting the dust sheild off the KA trans and just shortening the 510 driveshaft. My method is using the Z31 driveshaft. It has the correct spline, dust sheild interface, and bolt pattern for a R series diff input flange. I havent test fit for length yet. really, thats good to know tha...

It is that easy. From what i understand though, you need to use the upper bolt holes in the isolators instead of the middle ones. (the ones that bolt the isolators to the crossmember) Effectively dropping the isolators down a little bit. Im not sure. Ill probably fab up new mounts anyways. demon_51...

hmm this is interesting. For the engine mounts, I used the 240 SX brackets (that bolt to the block), and the stock 510 isolators. It went right in, yes, It was that easy. I have stock KA mounts at home and my 510 mounts are laying around. Ill have to check it out see if they match up. Hopefully I ca...

sadly, mine isn't running yet. my motor is sitting getting ready to be built, I still need MAF, radiator, and mounts. I'm going to flip my cross member and see if I need to make new motor mounts or not, I havn't had to much time to look into it since I have been working on all the suspension parts. ...

He has a tranny mount and motor mounts for the KA swap? Do you have a contact info for him. I may talk to him. I know Dan was going to start making a tubular front cross member with an MR2 manual steering rack, but it was going to be like $1500. to much for my blood. I can do most of the work myself...
