Re: high boost pump gas question
Even though I have some investment in the motor as far as my time goes, its not my motor. I have and continue to warn of the current limit we are at, last thing I want is the motor to blow! Owner agreed to leave car around 20psi until e85. greaser max volts is .05 at the three to four shift(same set...

Re: high boost pump gas question
not cop yet, being s14 with internal coil plug gap already down to like .018 IIRC ,getting blow out at 20psi at .028.
integrator at 300us(microsec)
gain at .421
get volts next time with car
looking into that motec and goldwave for sure.

Re: high boost pump gas question
thank you! I doubt we will go that far, as said owners been warned, pump gas is sketchy at higher power. I like to double tap knock with rich mixture and typically 1:1 timing retard, been working for years. oem s14 knock sensor is wired up and set to 6.64 khz centered frequency??? NOT sure that is r...

I'm getting one guy saying I should run 12.5* at 21psi(looks away),and another guy saying at 21 psi I would roughly be at -15*. This motor...

high boost pump gas question
Looking for timing advice, what do you guys do above 25psi for timing? This is a built motor est. 9.1:1 compression 93 octane, likes timing retard around 1*:1psi, which sets the advance at 0* for 25psi. The question is would retarding the timing further into atdc reduce chance of detonation since th...

Re: First start video!! Some issues though..
This is a nissan with a draw through maf setup and a non recirculated bov, obviously its going to idle like garbage and want to pop flames on decel, while ruining your oil prematurely. Plug your bov to check if its hurting idle, you can tune around an atmospheric bov but not really on a shelf tune.....

Thats only a few percent but other factors may come into play, like high vs low Z or latency depending on the 2 specific injectors.
Whats is your base fuel pressure? Probably the easiest way to compensate for the injector size difference is the fpr.

maybe stainless steel wool I would not trust regular steel wool for more than 6 moths daily here in humid florida. Loooooooose fiberglass packing will kill a good amount of noise.

I've used a lawnmower muffler before(3") after some cutting and drilling it was alright.. Was not worth the effort a resonator would have done more and been less work.

engrish is a little lacking after a few too
probably just the oring. once the rail is pulled from the manifold you should be able to tell if fuel is exiting through the injector or around the injector.
change your oil!

did you ever have this tune running an engine with 370's and a stock maf? I've read and heard some bad things about efi specialists. I see in the video that you have an hks ssqv installed without a recirculation kit. This is a known nono that causes all kinds of issues. pull codes yet? Also, your oi...

recently assisted a local guy with similar issues, he had a few adding up to a terrible running enthalpy tuned car, none of it enthalpy's fault! from a quick google search it looks like they just used a one piece manifold where a 240 version is a 2 piece plus tb. Time to get ahold of a 240 rail
not sure on de but sohc had different camshaft and the tune was obviously different for the manifold/cam difference.(more torque)

In the end pcv is more for emissions than anything, what you want most on a boosted engine is to not build pressure in the crankcase.
Short of a high flow vac pump nothing is ideal on a turbo setup imho. Next best thing, reduce CC pressure.

honestly I have never seen a cooler on a 240, how close to hot zones are the fuel lines? How much fuel in the tank? Maybe wrap the exhaust next to the tank. Anything adding timing via the squirt?

Re: front crank seal keeps popping out, any suggestions?
I had an issue on my sohc with front seals going out, it was the crank pulley itself had worn such a groove the spring could not make a solid contact. Remedy for me was a different pulley however an old timer suggested a speedy sleeve. But if you have a janky cover thats probably the issue.

I have a set its been a while but iirc I removed an inch. I cut like this || I should have notched each side and lowered the rod location. mine were also reinforced they have been good for several events and a couple test session.

you probably dont need to go heat range 8 for 250whp, you would probably be safe on 6, but go for the tried and true bkr7e or iridium equivalent. Also that air fuel gauge NEEDS to be a wideband. A bit of advice , there is always something else. Read the turbo for newbs thread a lot of good info in t...

5th tune from martin? because under "how to order" it clearly states out of stock. Do you need him to personally email you that he does not have any parts? Give it some time and parts will show up or the company will close. This is a good time to save more pennies for the setup.

I honest could care less what the turbo can flow I am speaking specifically of the flange and it has been proven the t3 flows more. If a t2 could flow the air a t3 can then at some point the t3 would be fazed out or never designed. Its like saying a 2.5"pipe flows the same as a 3", it does...
