Depending on what was used for the graphics, sometimes mineral spirits will work or a gum eraser wheel...I'm surprised the acetone didn't do anything. Worst case, you could always get a semi/gloss sheen aerosol paint to hide it.
Beautiful job overall and love the plating work!

I actually think those wheels are pretty cool...kindof reminds me of a hi tech/stealth version of the old 'Trios' for any that remember those back in the 90s?
All black wheels look really good with that color!

Hey nice job so far. At least you're learning how to do things on your own although it's really sad how paid mechanics sometimes have no problem getting paid for doing garbage work....5psi is definitely enough to have some fun, or was lol. Keep up the good work!

Re: Supercharged S14 - Part 2
I got everything back together this weekend. Feels good to drive it again. I'm back to a stock ring and pinion (changed from my 4.6 gears), so it's not quite as torquey/snappy, but it's much more enjoyable to drive on the highway and not be at 4000 rpms the entire time. * That must have been misera...

'93 Altima KA, blown intake manifold gasket options?
Alright, well it looks like my '93 KA has blown an intake manifold gasket at #3 cylinder. Using Datascan I've bumped the idle up some to help smooth things out but I have no time and even less desire to change this thing out again on a FWD KA. 1. It's no big deal driving it this way for awhile but I...

Re: 4psi Ka24e-t pulls
To me that's cool seeing a low boost setup...I'm no expert but I'd guess around 180-190whp or so and it's amazing how few psi it takes to make the KA a really fun motor!

Re: After waiting for 4+yrs....
You may be one of the few that have had their Altima longer than me lol....bought my '93 (build date of fall '92) in 2000 and still runs great but plan to retire it this year. Keep up the nice work.

Re: '95 Zenki KA-T build - rear end is finally finished.
That really looks great...I bet it gets your enthusiasm going when you see those coated parts to keep the car up! I have a question, when you installed your ES bushings, how do you torque them? I've noticed over the years with ES and Moog poly bushings that the OEM torque ratings won't work due to t...

Cool project, the Toyota Corolla a generation or two back used the same design. SCC editor Dave Coleman seemed fascinated with it but it was never used on any performance oriented production vehicles.

Re: NA KA24DE///
What about this fellow? I chatted with him off and on in the past when building up my '93 Altima. He ran a turbo with big low rpm tq (3-400lbft at or below 3k rpm IIRC) for road racing but then went full NA. He seems to feel the IM and cams are the only thing holding the KA from getting above 170whp...

I know on my NA '93 Altima, the mesh provides a laminar airflow that helps keep the MAF/readings happy. I've run a 'hybrid' intake on the car for years with a KN cone filter bolted to a maf adaptor inside the airbox (to reduce heatsoak) but it required removing the mesh. I finally ditched that setup...

Advance ended up having some in the 'Help' section. It was the pack of two listed for GM/Chrysler and the larger of the 2 screwed in and fit perfectly. It's pretty soft rubber so I don't know if it would hold up as good as OEM in the long run and you'd have to buy 2 packs to get a pair that work but...

I would've glued it back together but it pretty much disintegrated. I called O'Reilly and they didn't have anything but Advance had some for Chrysler so I'm...

Busted hood bumpers - Need a DIY solution
Hey guys, the hood bumpers completely broke off like muffin tops (sorry, Seinfeld reference) and I don't like the idea of driving around without them. I'm going to order some from Courtesy but being Friday afternoon, I figure even with 3 day shipping, it won't get here till tues or wed (any quicker ...

Yeah, I just think it would take too many coats of aerosol to get to cover well plus if I set some wrenches on the strut towers or radiator support (and I will!), I'd hate for the paint to scratch so easy. I'm going by the local paint supply house to see what they recommend for something basic that ...

Auto touch up paint - aerosol or spray gun?
Well work's been slow so I find myself wanting to do a few things to my beater '93 Altima. It's the beige/champagne metallic but the engine bay is the base only version of that color code, in flat it appears. After a quick engine swap a few years back, the bay got scratched up here and there especia...

260k+ on my '93 Altima engine/head no problems including running to redline every day before a stuck thermostat and my wife cluelessly driving around killed the head... BTW, just curious, you're doing a higher than stock compression NA build, or what exactly? I would guess not since this is KA-T but...

Looks really good, is that VHT pretty resistant against chemicals like oil, gasoline or engine cleaners?? Something you may want to play with down the road (I'm about to start myself) is DIY powdercoating. You can get a cheap Craftsman p'coating gun for like $40 and after spraying them, you can bake...
