So I hooked up a mood light to it and a fuel pressure tester. Negative reading on both... Now need to figure out the injector circuit and what sensors affect it. Also....pump works as I tested it with the lines off and it was dumping fuel everywhere. So maybe FPR is bad?? Bought a new filter because...

Fuel line are hooked up right. Going to go mess with it tonight.

If my injectors are seized could I use something to free them up or just need new ones? I have another rail full of stock injectors but they have also been sitting.

stripped KA/5spd swap/break in start issue.

So I have recently 'finished' my first engine build/ 5spd swap simultaneously. By finished I mean put together as it will not fire. Cranks normally the first time I tried. After the car was apart for a year and a half. What's been done to it: 1993 block 1996 head/other components 248/248 cams i/h/e ...

Right, I see that and it doesn't show which groove to put it in or if in between them.

And it's the M8 directly below the o-ring.

Front cover RTV gasket - beside the o-ring question

Okay so I'm about halfway through my build and getting ready to put the front cover on... While applying RTV to the lower front cover I noticed there are two little ruts beside the oil passage o-ring but in the FSM there is only one line of gasket. As this is a high risk area I have to ask.... Which...

I'm using the NPR OEMish pistons designed for the SOHC KA. Ups the compression and NPR is an OEM supplier. Pistons, rings, wristpins, and pin retainers were $100 on ebay. This seems like what you are looking at. haha

I will add more when I get off work!

Bearings. Enginetech = King?

Okay so I just got a crank turned at my local machine shop and got bearings. The guy said he was getting me King bearings. So after getting everything on the way back home with fresh crank and bearings I realize the boxes say Enginetech so I call him and he says they are the same. Can anyone verify?...

Anyone ever had Uni sushi (Sea Urchin)? I tried some and was disappointed a bit, I think it was supposed to be different from what I read online.

Also turns out that it is basically a sea urchins balls....lmfao

I didnt think about the dual pumps as a backup, thats not a bad idea at all for the track. Its very flexible, almost identical to nistune but its not realtime. You can change a whole lot of stuff in the software, you also get launch control and with consult you can get live data readouts. you can g...

Dual Walbros is for my type of racing, not because I need that amount of fuel. haha. There are cars running half my power goal with dual pumps. One is the other pump's fail safe.

high CR, NA KA tuning solution Qs

Hello, I am piecing together a NA high compression KA and have no earthly idea what I am doing for tuning....or how to do it. Okay to get this out of the way: Why NA? Because, racecar. No, but really, I will be restricted to NA for my class. My setup: New NPR SOHC flat pistons (like unadjusted 11.2:...
