Re: New Project: Mild build
What are these big changes? Don't hold out on us! ...oh ya know...things  I'll post updates as stuff changes. I can plan for months to do something and then decide to change it last minute :dunno: More pics, and again if anyone sees something they like on this engine setup- literally anythin...

Re: New Project: Mild build
Decided to make some big changes in the engine bay. I will be parting out the entire current engine setup. Please feel free to message me on here if interested in anything. Can ship any bolt ons right away. The internals will be ready following the block teardown that I will be documenting on here. ...

Not too much has changed with the engine setup; just put the oil cooler back in with a partsshopmax oil filter relocation and plumbed in the accusump with an electronic pressure control valve. There was an autox event on Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point at the end of last year called the "Refrigerator bowl". Its basically a point to point race on the circuit with a cool down section before arriving back at grid. It was a good opportunity to try out some different parts and lear...

So THANKFULLY there is a "free" option for Photo bucket again; hoping this "free" option continues. So, as a result, time for some updates everyone! A friend and I showed up with cars the day before Tuner Evo (TE) and found out there were no more early drop offs that day, so I un...

Re: ka-t running rich, won’t idle or accelerate
One major thing about these engines (or any really) is to start out with the simplest fix first. Their are many pieces, but all that aside, it really just comes down to fuel and spark. Once one finds out which side the problem is coming from, just start checking off things from the list (starting wi...

Re: Supporting turbo manifold and and cat back
I honestly don't think I have any supports. The manifold is from ETS and was very compact, with the mount flange for the turbo very close to and almost level with the flange going to the block. My guess is that the thick flange and maybe even the thickness of the tubing coupled with the solid exhaus...

I resprayed the "bash-bar" that night and loaded it up in the transport car the the next morning (had the windows down the whole drive because of the fumes, haha). That morning we rushed in, dusted everything, claybar/deatail spray and waxed everything. The BridgeMoto 6pt digicam harness a...

Re: New Project: Mild build
Best thing I did suspension wise is the GK tech bolt on roll center correction kit. My car is very very low and it helped level out the FLCA and keep my tie rods decently level. Maybe take a look into GKtech? Yeah, prob shouldn't have done all I did, haha, oh well...still learning. ----- Small upda...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,
This is awesome! I've never heard of this before. So, I'm trying to wrap my head around this system.... So you stay on the throttle and when you push the clutch in, it triggers a rev limiter (to whatever RPM you set it at based on a throttle input % ? ), then when the clutch is released you are basi...

There are some very creative engineers out there. some more updates to share: When turning sharp, the engine still seems to bog and stall (almost like the wheels are rubbing on something that is making them stop). There is clearance for the wheel...

Man, you've been doing WORK on this project lately! Your engine bay is looking clean! I like what you did with the plug wires.
How does your data logging work? Do you choose a time period for it to record?
On a different note, have you had a chance to mess around with that tig welder yet?

Re: New Project: Mild build
This product has exceeded my expectations so far. I have checked the lower pan mounting surface with a straight edge and everything appears to be on-point and even. The 1/2" NPT fitting also screwed in tight, without issue. http://i627.photobucket.com/albums/tt352/cleantune2/0412172053_HDR_zpsw...

Re: New Project: Mild build
went on a little rant. But I so hate that flange!! After seeing how far away the pickup was from the pan on my setup, along with the piss-poor "baffling" and trap doors, I would never run that setup as-is.... As long as your pickup-to-pan clearance is checked and adjusted (if needed) your...

Re: New Project: Mild build
^thanks for clearing that stuff up. Not having that extra brace os going to make the spacer mod so much easier. I had similar thoughts about that flange - like if the trans "sees" any excessive force/movement that would end up pulling at the pan. Since the engine was rebuilt (almost 6 year...

Re: New Project: Mild build
I wonder how that will work being that it's aluminum and the other piece is steel.... hopefully nothing warps.... either way looks like a nice piece and aluminum might even allow for better heat dissipation. GLWB The upper and lower pans are both aluminum; however, you're correct, they will most li...

Re: New Project: Mild build
As far as HID since we have older cars the wiring goes bad so if it's in your budget redo all the wiring or just simply ground out the HID kit and see if that works. As far as the Accusump I think YOU should do it if it's not your primary vehicle and change your thread name to "SPICY Build&quo...
