Going 5 bolt def opens up a wider range of possibilities for wheels... You can get sick staggered wheel combos w/ stickie tires from mustang sites. 17X9's +25 up front on stock fenders. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/black240sx/240sxyo004.jpg Check out this site and some of their stuff, this...

Looks good to me, I wouldnt have pulse Mig'd though. Just get the heat and wire right and position yourself comfortably so you can lay a super smooth weld. Try and get around the whole joint only stopping 1 or 2 times to reposition. Hit the welds with a low grit grinding disc and take off the high s...

I had 2 sets of mustang wheels, standard lugs worked great with both sets. If anything, get shorter lugs. The longer ones stuck out a bit too far IMO. You can see them here. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v133/black240sx/240sxyo014.jpg These were the lugs. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20pcs-Gol...

Thats why these are slick. The urethane/aluminum puck mounts dont isolate like these would. I stopped selling the mount kits because I couldnt handle them myself.

I've used S14 coils on an S13 before, the top hats on the rear coils are different. I had to re-drill the caps with closer stud locations.

Just do a 5 lug swap :)

Better wheels, better brakes, better everything

That is a good deal though, the 4 bolt rotors are actually cheaper than any of the actual 5 bolt ones. I love the Q45 brakes too, perfect performance match to a 240.

Flip them 180. If your pump shaft was installed with the crank at TDC but the cam was at 180, it can look like the motor is at TDC but the cam is off. Just pull the valve cover and make sure the DOT is level with the head surface on the right side of the cam, when the dot is here, the rotor should p...

Its a nice ideal to think that Xcessive could sell their manifold at their price point forever and no one would ever compete, but if you price your product too high for a given market and you leave a vacuum, someone will fill it. If they had gone off shore with their production and priced their mani...

Your block isnt worth much to anyone that you arent friends with or directly aquainted to. I would never buy a "built" block from someone I didnt know. You have no idea what the internal condition is or why it is being sold. You setup might fetch 2K if you market it to the right person. Yo...

You can buy inline oil filters for your turbo feed. This will pretty much guarantee clean oil to your turbo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turbo-Drain-In-Line-Screened-Oil-Filter-AN4-Fitting-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem483ee96c39QQitemZ310293130297QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts Magnetic drains are a joke ...

Although its true that the oil is circulated and mostly clean as it passes through the sandwich, if you're breaking in a motor you are going to have a period of operation where you will have constant metal particulate flowing into the filter. Having a sandwich will almost guarantee a blown turbo if ...

I think some of you guys have it backwards.... If you use a sandwich adapter, the oil comes out of the block into the threaded part where the filter screws onto the post. Then the oil coming out of the filter, is filtered, and goes out the holes in the side of the sandwich adapter. I don't see how ...

Dont use sandwich adapters unless you're running inline oil filters to your turbo and gauges etc. The oil you're drawing from is unfiltered and if you run this to your turbo you're going to pump oil pan particulate right into your turbo's bearing. I ran one previously, never again though. The DOHC o...

Ebay exhausts are pretty shoddy. I've had a few and they've all had problems within a year or so. Usually the hangers rip off, I weld them back on and they're good to go, I guess you could order an exhaust and get all the hangers beefed up ahead of time.

I was amazed at how well the car runs without all the idle control with a stock ECU. I ran my car with NOTHING on the intake manifold and it ran great. Just needs a bit more throttle when the motor is really cold. after about a minute its good.

The 240 exhaust is so simple. If you could get a length of aluminum pipe, I would just bend it and not waste my time with welding too much. Just use a single piece piece of pipe and stainless clamps for hangers.
