Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,

. That's great you figured out the WG stuff. Sounds like the screws will stay in place better now too. Hah, yeah I'd imagine even 12 psi feels "slow" now that there aren't any major leaks in the WG, but now A/F ratios will be more consistent and the engine response should be more predictab...

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,

Man, sorry to hear that. Is the WG line collapsing with heat or pinching? A long time ago when I was looking for vacuum lines I stumbled upon a company that makes a thick-walled silicone vacuum hose: http://www.boostcontroller.com/TurboLogic-Silicone-Vacuum-Hose-s/2128.htm The lines I'm using are su...

Re: "Successfully" reverted from Turbo to NA

I would check for loose wires going to the ECU (or to where ever the noise is coming from). As for the steering, I would make sure there are no loose parts or excessive play in steering components. Then I would check for obstructions (like Adam said). Maybe check out the power steering system too fo...

Re: Where to get SS braided brake equip?

I know I'm 2 years late to this conversation, but most hydraulic parts suppliers can probably help with this. There is a hydraulic store I know of that has a small selection of end fittings and hose and one just selects the fittings and lengths and then they will make them. There is a local track ca...

25 year car import rule -possible change with your help

This is an opportunity to shorten, or get rid of the 25 year wait for importing cars that did not make it to the U.S. car marketplace. This petition was created on Feb 1, 2017 and will need 100k signatures before March 3, 2017. A signature is completed by just typing name and email address and then ...

Re: New Project: Mild build

Ballin. I was close to buying one of those after I spun a bearing in my last motor. The problem was that you have to choose between a manual or electric shutoff. The electric would be the way to go for a street car, since you could hook it to the ignition switch for auto shut-off and priming. But a...

Nice work on the custom mounting bracket! That Nismotronic system seems like it was a great investment; just seems like it has so much capability and room to adapt to new modifications.

Thanks for the input, I'm leaning towards the darker color as well. I would hope temp diff wouldn't be much different. Re: New Project: Mild build

Re: Adam's formerly supercharged... now soon-to-be-turbo'd,

How much is it leaking? I have had some success with Lucas Power steering "stop leak" solution. I think its just a higher viscosity PS fluid, then I mixed it with some Auto trans fluid as recommended. Also, have you checked O'Reilly auto parts? This is where I bought my remanufactured rack...

Have you ever considered swapping out the KA in favor of a different motor? If so, why, which motor, and what made you want to keep the KA motor? I know, I know, kind of a "guilty confessions" type of question haha because I think we all know the answer: "nah, of course not, of course...

Re: New Project: Mild build

. The front suspension setup is so much more of a balancing act than I had originally imagined. As it turns out the scrub radius may be playing into the strange steering as well, due to the angle of the "kingpin" (main pivot point of the front knuckles). For those who don't already know, w...
