-Understanding basics of Auto Computers and PROMs-
Again, this is just some stuff I typed out, a lot of it is review for me, but I love to share knowledge. Its a must read. Understanding Automotive Computers and PROMs Its time to take a harder look at the demands of real engines and how the logic of engine management systems work to satisy them. Let...

-Understanding Fuel Delivery- basics reviewed
I typed all this out so I could remember it, hope it helps someone. UNDERSTANDING FUEL DELIVERY For many performance enthusiasts older than about 35 years old the benchmark for automotive fuel delivery systems is still the carburetor. And its true: no electronic fuel system can touch a carb in deliv...

Update: Being lazy and depressed over winter. Normally this is the time when I should be getting work done on the car but with work and the horrible cold weather and list of bogus things on the car that are a bit of a setback, I've kinda dropped the project for now. I Wish I had slaves to finish the...

Bigger does not mean better. I have yet to run my GT3582R but I have done the turbo math to find out that it is a little too large. With performance, you want balance. You build something too large in one area, and something else will break. There is a link in my signature you need to watch. Also, y...

AEM series two with all AEM Gauges. Any will work as long as it works. Besides, if you have a bad tune, or something goes wrong, you won't be always able to save it even if you do see it. It depends on when and what goes wrong. Temperature, heat, things like that often take longer then lets say a cr...

A thing to keep in mind is to look at what race cars do. Often after a race they will take apart and inspect an engine, now granted, you don't need to go that far, but if you are asking 300+% out of an engine, you should do what they do, and at minimum torque and replace oil more often inspecting th...

don't throw it out, just re-bore and hone with larger pistons and new rings. Rods should maybe be upgraded as well. Getting a new engine is the cheap way until it does the same thing. Build it! or you could try the really cheap alternative and just replace the rings. You might get lucky and have it ...
