Post by importdps »

Yo Guys!! The Doctor Mecanico Racing Team is now finishing up the final touches the KA-T the is proudly supported by this forum. Were hoping and praying to do a 7.5 second pass and we really think we have a good chance of doing it this weekend.

For you guys in the Tri State Area. Its saturday and sunday at Englishtown Raceway aka Raceway Park, ive put the link of the flyer here too so please come on out and take a look at our Nissans on Display and pick up some Doctor Mecanico for your ride free of charge. Just bring your ticket stub and we will give you a spray bottle.

With that said KA-T. Just say a prayer that we go fast safe, break a new record and have alot of fun. This could be a big day for the community if we do it.

Good news and bad news.

Car broke something simple, there was no spare. The good news is that we trapped 146mph before the 8th and the issue caused only 3 pounds of boost off the line.

mid 7s coming this week.

Were trying to see if there are any Video's of the pass anywhere. We didnt personally record them.

I have to put this out there. I alongside our Team here at Import DPS really want to say thank you for the support of our KA-T Drag Car. While the other companies get pictured at every event, get all the hype you guys have supported us knowing that our KA-T was the fastest and most power producing.

There are days when we get mad we dont get the attention some of the other cars do, but at the end of the day as long as the people from our community like yourselves support us, that is all that matters.

Were going to rep this board to the fullest on this next pass. I know what the car is capable of and all of us here know the 7.50 and lower pass is right around the corner.

When we do it. We all move forward into the spotlight as a community. The KA-T.org is part of our Doctor Mecanico Racing Team.

So putting it out there. Thanks.

Im amazed that you guys have been able to out do AMS by.. A lot. Seriously man get a vid of this thing you can do it with just about any digi camera. Not doubting you just would be real nice to have something solid.

I was under the impression that the cylinder walls split on the Ka at about 1000 crank HP, this information was from AMS. Do you have the weight of your car before a run?

Are you running the stock crank?

Anyway great job man, i bet those passes are a freaken blast.

what are you comparing this car to from AMS? in the 240 world, Ivans car was a street car with a stout motor and some 10.5 slicks with stock wheel tubs..and there evo, granted it is 1300hp, but that car is still manual, and can be taken to Mcdonalds

just wondering? dont get all excited with me like you do ***** freakin out about troll bull **** and what not, chill out bro, its just a question

and Import DPS has a filled block

That is correct.

Just to clarify a couple things for everyone too. AMS has some sick ass 240's and I dont like to "compete" with other shops. I'd like for them to go as fast as us or even be faster. Its all good promo for the sport of drag racing.

With no car to compete with another, the races are pretty boring dont you think?

Youtube videos coming up by end of the day. Visit www.jrspeed.com and click on videos to check out the run of the car.

Good Facts about this pass that make us real happy amongst the time and breaking.

1. Car made 146mph before 1/8th.
2. Car left with 7psi off the line. That is hardly anywhere near enough to launch.
3. The car never even hit its target boost level.

So were real happy and very encouraged.

Also, are you using a stock crank? What are you reving that thing out to?

AMS's only drag Ka, that happens to be streetable. Its got chutes and is in the 9's. Not exactly a street car bud, and im pretty sure its not driven to a McD's. Also, ivan took if off the street a while back..

Didnt know they had a filled block.

Were just going to go to about 2-3 more events here in Jersey and possibly maryland. We just dont have the time or staff to close the shop for a full week to hit Florida.
