I'm in the current process of restoring my S13 KA-T and was curious how many people were still active on here?

Not many. I'd wager about 5 or 6.

20 if you count the bots.

^right what’s up with the different posts being submitted with nothing related to automotive? Is the website hacked?

Back in the day (~2005-2012) people would post just about everyday. Especially before YouTube and Facebook became mainstream when cardomain and streetfire.net and ebaums world was still kicking it lol.

I’d say that 90% or so have moved on to those newer platforms.

Similarly, the higherend/mainstream shops like AMS-TURBO240 and the rest of performance aftermarket have seemed to have moved on to other platforms also...... has anyone seen the race car R35 GTRs and turbo Exotic cars they make lately? (Well that escalated quickly 😂)

I don't think AMS is interested in the s-chassis market anymore 😆

I still lurk here from time to time. Still have both of my S13s 😀

I still lurk and check in when I can and I will likely keep doing so for as long as I tinker around on my 240.

Speaking of restoring...I'm going to need to start replacing weather stripping and door seals soon... Some of that is getting pretty tired looking on my car. Is that what you are doing or just getting it running again?

Oh, I hear you guys same here in regards to lurking.

I think those of you that stayed in it by keeping your projects on going in the background played it smart regarding to buying and holding (“it’s cheaper to keeper” mindset). It’s an expensive hobby overall/to begin with and prices have somewhat stabilized or basically gone up in price in some instances.

In addition, finding an S Chassis that has “good seals” at a fair price.......at this stage in the game would be challenging as the demographic of owner for the most part wasn’t necessarily the kind to “garage kept” an S Chassis if you know what I mean...... myself included.

Let’s see what the future holds for KA-T.org and the S chassis community. Most other forums like FreshAlloy NICO Zilvia etc don’t seem to be as popular as they once were.

Unfortunately facebook killed the forums. Which sucks, but im also okay with it. Forums were always for the nerds, and the nerds are still here.

Facebook did kill forums although it's worthless for long-term information and signal to noise ratio even on good groups like ka24det is way too high.
Lets make ka-t.org popular again and boycott facebook for car stuff..

Part of me thinks facebook paid photobucket for that ridiculous policy changed that made forums even more useless.

Yeah Facebook basically killed all online clubs/forums. I'll get a restore thread going and post up on that to have at least 1 active project on here.

It's crazy to think how expensive a rolling un-adulterated s13 costs these days, if you can find one. Paid $600 for mine back in July 2001 and am super happy I was able to keep a hold of it. It's been sitting for the last 5 years awaiting funding and now I'm in the process of doing as much of a "full" restore as I can.
Finally going to re-do this project!

****, its crazy! Guy i work w just paid close to 8k this past week for an automatic se hatch with wheels and coilovers... mostly stock otherwise. My mind is blown. I'v never paid over 800 for the three s13's I bought up through 2005. I paid a fair bit more for my current s14 in 2017 but... the market is plain nuts now!

I love to stop by time to time, I still do alot of work on my s14, just finished up a new fuel system the other day. Just needs paint and body to be done now and for me to finalize my tuning....sad to see so little of us around here but life also happened, more working less time for play....every time I see an S chassis on the road i smile though!

Not many S-chassis around here but I agree it is always nice when you see one or your kid says they saw one! I wonder if we mustered up some sort of KA-T meet how many would show.... I remember NICO used to do that or still does. A thought 10 years too late?

Depends, past 6 years I work in California but live in Florida, I'm usually home in FL 3 months a year or so....if the timing is right, I'd be there

Btw, just watched the reveal of that new Z.....I'm impressed with what I see....
