Help! WTB a good Clutch kit for 400hp++

Post by Turbo Nismo »

Hi guys, I've searched for some clutch kit options, but idk wich one to buy. It's for a street S14 w/KA24DET and I'm looking for a good clutch kit that could hold more than 400hp. I don't want copper puck clutches, what should I buy? I heard of:
- RPS Max Series Clutch with Street Disc for 240SX - 2400 lb
- Stage 3+ Spec clutch kit
- RB20 flywheel w/350z clutch
- What other options do I have that aren't too expensive (I'm looking for kits of less than $500)

I was gonna say...ill sell you my slightly used competition clutch stg 5 clutch with flywheel for 500. Its a 4 puck clutch with 350z size pressure plate and 13lb chromoly fw to run it. The fw has both KA and 350z pp pin holes machined. Badass setup, I'm looking to go to a twin plate setup. Lmk if interested...

Im using the act 6 puck sprung with the heavy duty pp and streetlite fw. Its supposed to be good for 360ft/lbs. Ive used this same setup in my prelude. Its not terrible but, engagement is little harsh. I kinda wish that i tried the white bunny setup with a disc.

Hey turbo nismo... i just thought i would share what i got... I got my clutch from compition clutch.. with it i got the 350z upgrade for a bigger flywheel and lighter and got a stage 4 clutch and pressure plate rated for more then 500whp and 500trq...the only thing i didn't like was getting used to the pressing the clutch.. it is either on or off.. there is not feathering the clutch....

i paid 600 and some change for the set up.
