e85 fuel level sensor

Post by Pegasus »

well got my car back from tuner and while on they dyno the level sensor went out. he said the e85 probably messed it up but ive never seen anyone use another type for a e85 set up on ka unless i am clueless. are you fellas who are on e85 using another aftermarket level sensor for the gauge or just rocking the stock one with no issues and mine failing was just bad luck and just need to replace it?

I replaced two and they both went bad. I just fill up everytime I go out but need to get an aftermarket one as well.

Mine still works fine after years of E85 use.

I swapped in a VQ35 into my S13 so I ripped out the cluster to put a tablet for my gauges. Curious now if I can connect a sending unit to the megasquirt. If not, I will get an aftermarket gauge with an aftermarket sending unit.

I found cheaper ones on summittracing.com. Check it out.

I would test out for $30. Since late 80's, ethanol has been in fuel. If adams sending unit still works and "not" e85 compatible, you are only paying more for a label/claim.
