e85 fuel level sensor
e85 fuel level sensor
well got my car back from tuner and while on they dyno the level sensor went out. he said the e85 probably messed it up but ive never seen anyone use another type for a e85 set up on ka unless i am clueless. are you fellas who are on e85 using another aftermarket level sensor for the gauge or just rocking the stock one with no issues and mine failing was just bad luck and just need to replace it?
Re: e85 fuel level sensor
I replaced two and they both went bad. I just fill up everytime I go out but need to get an aftermarket one as well.

Re: e85 fuel level sensor
Mine still works fine after years of E85 use.
Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...

Wonder since your S14? Not sure if the OP is S13.

Re: e85 fuel level sensor
i have an s13, i did see an srt4 e85 fuel level sensor on ebay which is the only one i have found so far that says its e85 compatible. i was just curious what everyone uses or what aftermarket level sensor would work?
Re: e85 fuel level sensor
ive never taken an s14 fuel pump so i cant say if they are the same either.
Re: e85 fuel level sensor
I swapped in a VQ35 into my S13 so I ripped out the cluster to put a tablet for my gauges. Curious now if I can connect a sending unit to the megasquirt. If not, I will get an aftermarket gauge with an aftermarket sending unit.

Re: e85 fuel level sensor
e85 compatible ones? none of the ones ive seen on summit say e85 compatible.supakat wrote:I found cheaper ones on summittracing.com. Check it out.
Re: e85 fuel level sensor
I would test out for $30. Since late 80's, ethanol has been in fuel. If adams sending unit still works and "not" e85 compatible, you are only paying more for a label/claim.
