Hx40 pro 19 psi

Post by Kill3rwill »

Hey guys, don't know if it really counts, but got a virtual Dyno. It's a holset hx40 pro hybrid with hx35 back side. Running turboholic cams, godspeed intake manifold, 93 pump. Tuned myself, looks to need a little more timing when boost comes online.

did some tuning with meth. green was my original run with just 93 pump on 19 psi, red was meth wit the fuel leaned back out, same timing and boost. Blue was my final run, same timing, but 22 psi on meth. My torque readings keep going up but my hp isnt changing. I want to say this isnt really possible and im having an error somewhere. Car is noticeably faster.

HP is changing... you gained 75hp at 5400rpm to line up with the big increase in torque at that spot. Overall numbers are not increasing because for some reason, your torque curve falls off after that to the level you were at 19psi/93oct.

Yea I just don't understand why it's showing peak power the same. That's more or less impossible. I know torque can continue falling off after peal power, but running 2 or so more psi with just as aggressive timing is bound to make more power at peak. Even if there are flow restrictions it would still Be going up, just not as efficiently. Car definitely pulls harder to redline.

no they are not degreed. I just recently swapped from bc L264 to jwt s1's. Lag got noticeably worse, top end seemed a little bit better, was able to bang the rev limiter a little easier. Besides the change in performance, it runs noticeably smoother with less valve noise. I've read that the jwt are more or less drop in, but im thinking thats not the case.
