502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
UPDATE!
finally dynoed...
Right off the bat with some minor w.g. creep to 18psi (holding 15psi creeping to 18psi) at redline (7200) care made 430whp.
502WHP/428FT/LB.
you can see the power band is very linear. The motor has alot more in it the setup wants to keep going but I seriously need to do some major head work and switch over to e85. The tuner feels like after I do this and switch to a z33 trans we can possibly touch 800whp.

Nice! Can't wait to see what it does on high boost!
Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
what fuel?
Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
That's very impressive for 93
Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...

Wow those are great number, if you don't mind how much timing was the car at 22psi?

I think sending his turbo in to be upgraded and using a 3.5" downpipe paid off. It makes good power even with a stock head. I saw a dyno project done with a supra. 3 inch exhaust vs 3.5...it gain like 35 0r 40hp just by using 3.5 exhaust.

Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
Thanks everyone,
From what im told timing is very conservative, i think the tuner was saying something like only 8deg of timing. He need to keep the torque down because of the clutch.
Im getting a ton of boost creep, hitting 25psi fuel cut right now. Im not sure why, I have a 44mm tial gate and a 14.7psi spring.

Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
Most likely due to the retard timing. The fuel is burning in turbine which is spinning up the wheel just like 2step/anti lag operation. Eventually you will need a 20psi spring. Turning up the boost to 30psi requires a stronger base spring. If not, then you cannot control high boost correctly and really see fluctuation/creep.
Do me a favor and take a vid of your speedo doing a pull...I want to compare with mine lol.

Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
Good info. Especially about tuning for clutch limitations. So for the 44mm tial I should be good with mine. It has a 19lb spring and I was gonna order a smaller one. I really didn't wanna run 20+ psi all the time. But then I realized I didn't have to get into it that hard. Let's see some vids

Nice, I saw this car on my IG feed when you got tuned. Jeff tuned my KA-T a few years back also. Nice numbers for 93!

Nice results. You will love the E85. The mid range torque increase is instantly notable with E85.
What cams are you running?

Re: 502whp/ 428ft/lb 22psi
This was actually on stock cams, but i had some boost creep i need to address that before i get tuned again.
Im debating about using the bc264's with jwt cam gears or selling and getting some kelfords 213-c (272/11mm lift) but since the ka isnt very rev happy, I think ill be better off with the 264's. Im still researching which would be in my best interest to run.

Why do people always put down the ka saying rev happy. Stock valve train no but if you have dual springs, light buckets, etc. with cams and the most important key an ATI dampener, you can hit 8500 safely. Even 8k is nice. I rev to 7200 with stock valvetrain and Crower 264's. Don't limit yourself.

This has kind of got me in a jam too. I see kedbmx making 900whp with BC272's, but it seems the Kelfords have a bit more duration in them. Then there's the JWT C78's, which are just bananas, haha. My turbo is quite a bit smaller than yours though, so I don't have to worry so much about the low-end.turbo2nr wrote:This was actually on stock cams, but i had some boost creep i need to address that before i get tuned again.

I'd say depends on what you want man. I think the 264's will give you a nice bump, and I can see why you wouldn't want to shift your powerband too far right, as it's very linear as is. You already have a short runner intake and a pretty progressive spooling turbo.
272's will definitely make more power, so if you're looking to max out the turbo, they'd be your ticket.
