Rosado Racing is back!! 9.90 @ 144mph

Post by RosadoRacing »

Haven't been on the site for a min seems like the forum is dead!! But for the rest of the ka community that's Still around I ran 9.90 @ 144 on 30lbs of boost shifting at 7500rpm. I didn't didn't do a great burn out so the car had traction issues really bad it was all over the track. Goal is for low 9s. This was my 3rd legit pass in the car which is my new project.

Nice man ... congrats.... "for those 10 seconds or less....." is it still the same turbo kit and the like as previous? Most people with KA-T are on instagram... one just featured in a recent 1320 video of SCT north carolina. https://youtu.be/Xkv_SrCQAi4 if you go to his insta its kaboosthoe or something like that and he links to like 4 other nice street/drag type prepped ka24 240sx..... there is another guy that made over ~580whp on an enthalpy rom/dyno tune. So to answer your question there are some.... but I think a lot of people just sandbagging/lurking cause they wanna be sleeper or something... not to long ago there was guys in Arizona with stroker kit etc etc and then we stop hearing from them..... it's also an expensive hobby and easy to burn up an engine with bad fuel oiling etc.

I hear u man. I figured id post just to keep the forum alive and keep supporting the ka-t community. I'm racing this Sunday so I'll repost What it does I'm aiming for low 9s. Car was all over the track and I have another 5psi in my map sensor left and another 300rpm to shift so a 9.0-9.2 pass is very possible if I can nail a 1.2-1.3 60ft

Damn but is all that on stock transmission? What ECU? Do you self tune? DO you recommend the AEM V2 PNP?

Good to see you still kicking ass with the ka-t!! What's the suspension setup?
Wiseco/Eagle, JWT S1 cams, BC valve springs, PT5857, ID1700 injectors, SR20DET ECU w/ Nismotronic, COP conversion with LS ignition coils, etc, etc...

I'm Pretty sure it looks like a stock transmission, stock suspension, stock intake manifold .... A lot of people overthink a lot on builds and go with what the industry is convincing them that they need. A lot of it has to do with the driver and probably running the right type of soft tires/air pressure and slipping the clutch correctly off the line, timing the tree right and basically leaving like EVO guys leave avoiding breaking their transfer case at the drag strip and there people running low 10s with stock transmission just like I said most guys on insta and don't post on here that much. Plus shops and tuning being so readily available people just don't DIY like that anymore to the point where they posting their whole build for the world to know.... this ain't the "car domain" "street fire" 100+++ page forum build days anymore.... Just saying.

Did you ever use the "duncan method" of viewtopic.php?f=2&t=62827&p=533108&hili ... ds#p533108 with ARP washers?

How did you do to make the rb26 headstuds work in the ka? I toke my block and head to a machine shop and they did the threads easily in the block, then they drilled the head to 1/2 inch I think, and they grinded the rb26 arp nuts so they could pass trought the lifters walls.

I would like to know if you went different route to make them work

Def DID not grind the arp nuts. My machine shop got a grill bit the same size as the socket that is used for the nut and drilled to make room for the washers

Good to know, as for the washers I saw the ARP ones are the same size as the stock ka ones, I think my grinded nuts will work as I'm just going to a max of 600hp.
