Great idea for Exterior Drift Crash/Bash bar

Post by wdkwang »

I was wondering why isn't anyone making bash bars that go over the bumper covers so that it'll protect the body/paint from taking damage from wall taps or crashes.

Something like this for the rear:

And creating something similar for the front in case of a failed wall tap

These would make people think twice about cutting you off too lol

Ive seen a few guys with the cages, no 240s though.

Im doing something similar but im looking for a cheap rusty junkyard bumper guard to make my ka-t truck look slower haha

The rollerblade wheels in the bumper are a cool idea to compliment this too:

Enjuku sells some tubular bumpers called "Drift Armor"; some fit under the bumper and some are meant to run without a bumper.

clip a wall with that thing and your going to spin front end right into the wall. the people who are actually competent at running walls are pretty much just ripping off fiberglass bumpers.

I always thought it would look sweet if the bash bar was integrated into the stock bodywork- aka tubing sticks out 1/2" or so from the bumpers, but leave the top/bottom half of the bumpers in place so it looks kind of like a body line...

Same basic function, but might look sweet if done right.
