Thanks guys. Hopefully she performs better than she looks. I just want 30psi or go home. I am tired of babying the car. I also was watching some vids of an evo taking off. They had lc but they slipped in the clutch rather than just letting it drop. I guess I will need to do that rather than dropping the clutch.

This is sexy as hell but $400! Batmowheel! Google it.

This is the one for $200.

Only if the turbo acts up or I want to improve spool/power. If I get an extra $300, I may do it. I forsee this turbo staying with me no matter what motor I build next.

All these shiny parts are making the bay look crappy. Should get my reducer tomorrow and hopefully build the downpipe this weekend. Then she is home.

Thanks for the comment. It feels good to know that quite a few people are getting something out of it! I rather do youtube videos. I get paid for them. I only recieved $106 from Google since I stated marking videos. It took me two years to get a pay out. Maybe if I go viral I can make $1000. lol

cant wait to see the youtube vids flowing again , you really have to get some steadier videos if you want more views, either a way of mounting the cam or a passenger u know. i love watching them as is but from a viewers standpoint the video quality is good but they are a bit shakey. and very few people post incar vids so the guys like me who havent gotten thier car running yet really appreciate it !

Yea, the hand pro is shaky. I need to come up with a way to mount my go pro in car. My cell phone is going to be a instrument cluster from now on. It is pretty sweet with Shadow Dash. Monitor temps, timing, boost, etc. I can also log so hopefully I can play with virtual dyno again. I will get some more vids out as soon as I finish my piping.

suction cup it upside to your sunroof (you can flip the camera in the settings) or to the back glass and angle it more into the car.

Re: Supakat's Thread

Update:

I was getting some knock at 25psi due to old corn in the tank for when it sat for 2 months last night. I double checked my base timing and it was off a hair due to the obx underdrive pulley not easy to read due to its smaller diameter. I put back on the stock pulley when I put the motor back in for harmonics and to get my quest alternator to pump 13v's. I also gapped my plugs down to .030 and advanced my timing in cruise/vacuum area to help with spool.

So I take her out tonight when I am heading to work to get fresh corn and see how she reacts. After I fill up on the turnpike, as I am getting on the pike in 3rd, I floor it gradually and by 4500 I am at 25psi. She pulls hard and I was able to make a clean rpm sweep to redline. I have my fuel really rich so I was getting 10.0 in boost and no breakup. I am still tuning her but this thing pulls amazing. 4th gear feels like 3rd lol and it really pulls from 100mph to 115mph like nothing. I can feel the car sinking me down into the seat so I am hoping I am around 450whp. I need to get a log to verify. I am going to get my gopro setup on my sunroof from the inside to zone in on the gauges while I am tuning. I feel like going to tune right now but I have work in the am. Hopefully I will get some vids up soon for you guys.

The turbo was rebuilt and balanced by the po. I found in a company in Utah that balances hx's for $35.00. You will need to send comp wheel, nut, thrust washers, and turbine. I would do that. find a company in ca that can do it.

Do you know how much faster the 11 blade billet spools compared to the 7 blade cast which is really a 14 blade because it has little blades behind the 7. It must be heavier. I see full boost at 5800 with my s366 I'm hoping the billet will spool 500rpms sooner so I can be at full boost during gear changes. It drops to 10lbs in between gears.

I have saturn studs and I lifted them when tuning. I was tuning for MBT and kept advancing the timing. I was around 24* @ 10lbs making 330whp. No knock from sensor or headphones but studs could not hold it. Head lifted and Cometic seperated around the fire ring. Lesson learned is all I can say. If I had 11mm or 12mm, it would be able to hold it down but in given time something else would have failed. I haven't had any issues boost related. It has only been the tune so far. I also recall one time tuning on 20psi and playing with a 600cc bike. I got caught up in the moment and ran him in 4th but I noticed my AFR's around 13.5. Cylinder pressures were probably through the roof but it held but it did not help for the long run. I plan on getting a good pull but I have some other issues to resolve first. It is issues Rosado and I have been having with this xcessive kit.

I'm revving to 7k. And the ka24de arp head studs are alot stronger than the Saturn ones. I used the Saturn ones and made 665 and lifted the head on the dyno pretty bad. Made 660 wit the ka studs not one drop of coolant. Still have the ka studs n they been holding up great. Only issue was the cometic gasket broke prob due to overboosting. I hit 35psi and it went but there was no head lift and that was with my s366 which prob will make 800whp at that psi. I ordered a cosworth
