Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but is there really not a better manifold for a T28? I would like a bottom mount manifold. I'm interested in a GT28 setup and have been researching parts. I think the Megan and the SSAC are the exact same product. The only other option is to buy a T3 manifold and modify flanges?

I thought about it. I need to research more about the T3 turbochargers available. I really liked the idea of having full boost around 2000 RPM, so that's why I was interested in a T28.

but that flange puts the turbo location 4" further down or up. depending on your setup.

Wouldnt the turbo have a problem fitting then? also you have to get a downpipe made then as well. or just modify one you already have i guess.

All but the HX35 (broken link) and the Peak Boost (needs to be redirected) work and have accurate prices. The only manifolds I can think of that aren't on this list are the SLS ones.

I know this is an old thread, but CXracing has another manifold for the KA that should be added to this list. It appears to not have any fitment issues, but I have been searching for somebody running it with larger turbos and have yet to find anything at all.

it seems that in time this site may die. the original ka owners have either vanquished from the face of the earth or hate the fact that there are so many people joining the site that dont offer any good information or insight to the ka community. they just join and then ask how to turbo the ka without clicking the search button once and resurrect old threads with idiotic comments/thoughts.

if your budget only allows for a 30 dollar manifold then id love to see what your plan is for the rest of the car, go back to the drawing board big guy.

The Blue Ridge Motorsports ramhorn manis are on ebay for $550 now.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Blueridg ... ccessories

Not a terrible price but I wish I knew more about the company. I know they're in the southeast (north carolina I believe) and there was a thread or two about them recently though.

Also the "upper end" cx racing manifold can be had for ~$230 now before shipping from ebay, I think this was released at over $400 like 2 years ago or so. Not sure if it's the same one. It's got a good bit of bracing and although it looks like crap, that bracing may be what's saving it. I'm very curious as to the thickness of the metal that they're currently using and compare that to what they used to run. I sent em an email :P

Anyways I'm tempted to try it out. It's tubular, seems to be of "decent" quality, and I've found that from other individuals the "china" quality is improving, and I'm pretty sure I saw on CX's website that they manufacture these in the states.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/91-99-NI ... ccessories

Looks like its got some decent fitment too. I know several people have run/are running it currently so I've contacted them too.

I have emailed Blueridge about the manifold and downpipe. I'm consider trying it as long as they can answer my questions. It isn't a bad price at all for the manifold with the down pipe. Has anyone else heard anything about their company?

Thought this thread could use some updating considering there seems to be some decent options for the new guys here.

This is treadstones newest manifold @ $350 i like the fact that the exhaust ports are not circular but instead matched to the ka's rectangular shape...being cast iron and that treadstone seems to have a decent history, id say its a good choice for a cast iron t3 manifold, it also clearly places the turbo more forward away from the brake master....only trouble is that a custom downpipe will be needed, no big deal if you weld.

http://www.treadstoneperformance.com/pr ... 4+Manifold

CXracing is now making a tubular t3 manifold AND DOWNPIPE kit for the DE, with either 5 bolt or 4 bolt exhaust...unfortunately i do not know of anyone running the combination to confirm fitment, however all i can say is this setup with 4 bolt exhaust and a precision 5431 or 5558 would be pretty killer if it fits and would represent a great value since ive seen the kit sold on ebay for $400, manifold alone is $269.

http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mv ... gory_Code=

the same manifold alone is also available in a thicker 11ga 304ss material for $369, cant confirm fitment either with the downpipe. Otherwise it looks sturdy? PLEASE NOTE the dumbest thing about cx manifolds are the exhaust ports, they are not matched to the ka24. They are circular which is retarded for maximum exhaust flow. For the price, one has to compromise i guess. My ISIS t2 manifold makes 280whp/340tq and is also circular just to give an example.

http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant.mv ... gory_Code=

This next manifold is from extreme fabrications. I like alot of things about this manifold

1. Many wastegate options including 38mm, 44mm vband tial and tial F38?
2. TIG welded thick 304L schedule 40 ss material
3. 1/2" thick flanges
4. Positions turbo forward away from BMC.

http://www.xtremefabrications.com/store ... ucts_id=30

its a beautiful manifold for $419 and the exhaust ports are matched and its lighter than cast iron.

lets try to keep this thread up to date especially since these are the key ingredients that make turbocharging our cars affordable.

Thanks man. I was kind of curious what the manifold selection was like these days. I ran a RevHard, then a GroundZero, and finally a Full-Race manifold back in the day. Looks like the DOC manifolds are another good choice these days. Full-Race is obviously still kicking, but $1300 is just too much coin for me to drop on a manifold, again.ha

I'm not a believer in doc products yet, unless that one was just overlooked quality control.
