This is a project I have been working on...
Pressing some runner halves. I milled the dies in my garage. 6hrs
I milled a flange and polished for the hell of it. I will be making another as I'm not 100% happy with this one. 6.5hrs. I could probably cut that time down to 1.5-2hrs now that I've got the process down.
More pics to come as progress happens.

Re: Intake manifold project
What machine are you using?>
Re: Intake manifold project
To press, Harbor Freight 20ton.
To mill... Believe it or not, that flange was made on a router table. I made a template to the shape that I wanted, fastened to the aluminum stock and used a high quality 3/8" bearinged straight wood bit for shaping after cutting rough shape on bandsaw. Radiused and stepped with same brand of bits. The bits are still super sharp. The trick is to go slow.

Router + wood bit = pretty good results. Im gonna make something now. Just gotta figure out what.
My wife "haven't you spent enough time and money on that car yet?" my answer "no"
