Has any one done a set before if so how did you go about it

I think there is a thread in this section. I had talked about this a while back I think also.

I have an extra set I've been wanting to play with. I'll be home tonight and I'll link/reference some material if I can find it.

I have every thing to do it , also the knowledge on welding cast steel I'm really just looking for the measurements on how much to cut

better late than never..
I have a set its been a while but iirc I removed an inch. I cut like this || I should have notched each side and lowered the rod location. mine were also reinforced they have been good for several events and a couple test session.
