89 XE Coupe 5 spd 2 tone 1 owner; BIBFTD

Post by dionysus2016 »

So, I got a rusty 1 owner 5 spd coupe 3 month ago, ran really well but it kinda started to fall apart. And it's time to BIBFTD: Bring It back From The Dead.

Alot of people want to buy it off me for around 800-1000, thats pretty much what i got it for. but it has a really mint interior and i'm not sure if i want to part with it...

i found a clean shell in my state that i could grab.

But part of me wants to strip it and start a rebuild.

Someone put me on with a 16-22 gauge sheet metal plug in CT.

3/16: Cyl. 4 Spun a bearing going to pay some taxes and to regi my gixxer. Got it towed home for 40$.

I want to buy a hoist and stand and pull the motor sunday, but it proceeds to keep snowing and be below 20 degrees daily. Some post a sticky for a KAE motor pull...

should i just get it back running or start the refresh... ill pull the tranny too if i decide to start that.

Whats the best way to jack the shell up high enough to have enough room to pull the motor and continue to go high enough to comfortably use my die grinder and welder.

ive got chains and blocks. need a propane heater and a tent garage, have a rinky dink shed at my house too.

Give me some advice, i dont want to just give my schassis away. but i truly understand the sentence, "dude my 240 broke." LMFAO
