left the graphs and my camera at the shop. still had a lil tunning to make some more power but i wasnt in a huge need to mess around
also made 380rwhp at 15psi

last time at the dyno our guy even said that he thinks the turbo cant even stuff any extra air into the intake manifold, cuz i was dissapointed with the results. the graph still doesnt record as high as i seem to rev though which makes me made. stops around 6300rpms. if it would go to about 6800 i think i would be topping over 540rwhp.
torque wise was about 460 something yesterday. yet before i dynoed with the intake manifold and some runs i made had 460 something and some had 490 something yet horsepower would stay inthe 520range.
im happy with where it is right now and cant beleive the clutch is holding unless it is slipping a little and i just couldnt tell. maybe there was a bit more power but it was just slipping by.
wont matter since after my vacation im getting on the auto swap

I want to ask some quesitons. I dont mean to thread jack, but this is slightly related.
In your post, you mentioned that you are only revving to like 6800 and the dyno read only to 6300. Whyare you not revving higher? Are you actually revving higher, but the dyno is showing it?
2nd question is:
I see alot of supras and other cars running ALOT of boost without having problems with the ignition cutting out. Our cars seem to have problems over anything above 25-26 psi on a decently sized turbo. What is so different about our cars that prevents them from being able to produce a spark strong enough to withstand 26+psi boost levels?
Even with upgraded ignition systems, it doesnt seem to help.
Any thoughts as to if this is your problem with gaining more power than youd hoped for?

i was saying my power would prolyl peak at 6800, but really it would prolly not peak til i shift. i usually go to 7000-7200 on the dyno where my revlimit is. looking at different guages then all of a sudden u see the tach at like 7k natural reaction to push in the clutch. even though i know i have a limiter
with upgraded ignitions they can burn up rotors. i think that was my problem before my rotor was a lil too old. i had no issues at all yesterday
another thing is with s14's we have an internal coil. i plan to swap to a s13 dizzy and external coil sometime

Anthony is completly outside of the turbos realm to make more power. If he were to switch up to something bigger he would make a lot more power.
It was the same as the turbo I had purchased and it runs out flow right about where he is at.

Im pretty sure this turbo is capable of making more power. 28 psi is not the max on the compressor that this turbo uses. Its also a t4 turbine. 35psi + 600WHP puts it way off the map...
Switching to the .56 trim GT40 compressor (SC61 etc. etc.) should see some increases and the ability to run 35psi with decent power increases.

Projex: I run an s13 distributor and MSD HVC box and coil on my car, which is an s14, all you need to do is get an s13 distributor plug and wire it in. It is super duper simple.
As far as anthony's numbers, figure he is making well over 600hp at the crank, wether or not its going through the clutch is a different story. Also, the fact that he is revving to the end of his rpm range, and its not reading on the dyno's computer, that means he is either spinning the tires, or more likely, spinning the clutch. If your car's rpm's and dyno's rpm's arent on, the numbers could be inaccurate. This isnt anthony's fault or anything, I am just pointing out things here. The best way to check for tire or clutch slippage is to run an optical or inductive pickup on either the crank pulley, or #1 plug wire, and plot it against the tire speed/roller speed, if they dont follow each other just right, something is slipping, which means losing power somewhere. Anthony's car is making more power than what the dyno says.
Good job on the numbers. Youre almost exactly 100hp behind me...hahaha

its a precision PT61 turbo
i wouldnt be surprised at all if the clutch was slipping. no way should it really be holding this power. RPS max series pressure plate with street disc. i guess the guy who recommended the street disc over the 6puck didnt think i would be making this much power * cough * ivan * cough*

If thats the .56trim 61mm GT40, it should do as good or better than the GT35R (considering the large T4 turbine).
